When you get to the cloud maze look for the masks. Kill them
both then go left to the water. Go to the dead end & press up to
find one 1up !, Maxim Tomato, and one of those little bottles.
Level 4 - Extra Lives and Health
On level 4, "Bubbly Clouds," in the stage where you float
straight up to the door that leads to the fiery eyeball monster,
locate the door. Above the door should be a crescent moon. Float
to the tip of the moon and hold Up. This should take you to a
place where you fall straight down. There will be 2, 1ups, and 3
full health pieces. When you exit you will go to the monster,
with full health, and 2 extra lives!
Fly through most of the first and second level
In the first level (Green Greens), just inhale (press Up) and
fly through the level. If you avoid obstacles, you won't get hit
at all. This works for most of level 2, also.
Tips for Bosses
1. Green Greens. To defeat the boss suck up an apple and
spit it back at the tree. But watch out for his smoke! 2. Castle Lololo. This boss is a very easy one! All you do
is suck in a crate and spit it out at one of the guys. But be
sure not to spit a crate at another crate or the boss could hit
YOU! 3. Float Island. You will see a seashell before you go to
the boss. Suck it up or jump on it. Then just hold the fire
button in and keep shooting the boss. But look out for the
cannon balls he shoots out!! 4. Bubbly Clouds. This boss you just grab a guy and shoot
him out at the eyeball. This is similar to the boss in Level 2.
But he has 2 defences: 1. When he swoops down jump over him. 2.
Watch out for his lasers!! 5. Mt.Dedede. You first have to beat all the bosses
again. Go in the door for one of the bosses. Then once you've
beat all of them again fly up to Dedede's picture in the
middle of the room. It then will warp you to a fighting ring.
The way to destroy him is to suck up the stars he makes when he
gets hurt. Then throw them back at him. He has many defenses but
I will tell you only 1, you can discover the rest. He may run at
you and try to suck you up and then spit you out but to dodge
that just float up so he can't get you.
Vital tips for Bosses
Fighting Whispy, the tree boss, avoid hitting his nose- you'll
lose 2 pts. vitality.
Vs. Dedede- only get stars when he jumps, not when he uses the
hammer- you'll get smashed.
Round 2 bosses Lololo and Lalala- take a box from one and hit
the other- it's much safer.
Go back to the start page
If you want to reset during the game just hold the A, B,
Start, and Select, this will go back to the start page. Note: this
code can reset any Game Boy game.
Extra Game
At the title screen, press Up + Select + A. The screen will
say "Extra Game" and you'll have one Continue.
Sound test
On the Title
Screen, simultaneously hold Down, B, and Select. Use the
controller to select different options and change them. Press A
on "SOUND TEST" to enter that screen.
Hidden music
On the Sound
Test, let any music except 1-5 or 13 play for about 3-5 minutes.
An instrument will stop playing. You can transfer this to
another song (except 1-5 or 13) by going to that music and
pressing A. Press B or play 1-5 or 13 to undo the alternate
music.
Music on Pause Screen
This one is simple.
When you get a 1up, pause the game as the 1up noise it playing.
The background music will keep playing even though the game is paused.
Strange Sound
When you first start
the game, walk straight into the first Waddle Dee (don't press
anything else, just walk), and a different sound will be heard
than when you normally get hit.
Mysterious Bomb
Ok, first of all,
this trick is pretty hard to pull off, sometimes it works,
sometimes it doesn't. But trust me, it DOES work. In
Castle Lololo, the room with the bomb, when you enter, the Booler
(Ghost enemy) will fly up and back close to the bomb. Inhale
both of them at once. You'll know the trick worked if Kirby
spits out the Booler, but the bomb still goes into Kirby mouth,
and Kirby is then normal, with nothing in his mouth. The bomb
disappeared, right? Not quite. Inhale another enemy, and spit it
out, and it becomes the bomb. Or you can inflate, and spit out
the air, which also can become the bomb.
Trap Kirby
On level 3, go
in the cave where the Kabu are, and go to the part with the 14
Star Blocks that cover a secret door.
I have colored three of the Star Blocks to help explain what to do.
First, destroy the red Star Block with a puff of air. Then inhale the
blue Star Block. And while you still have that Star Block in
your mouth, stand where it once was, and jump into the spikes
above. You should then be inside the Star Block below. Then,
spit out what you had inhaled, into the green Star Block, and
walk to the right. Kirby is now trapped.
Go Behind the Background
In level 4, the
cloudy room with the small area of water, go to the small
area to the left of the water (there's a secret door there, but
don't go in). Then walk as far off the cloud as you can
(without falling into the water), and quickly turn around and
walk back. If you did it correctly, you'll hear a splash
sound, your movement will be slower, and Kirby will be behind
the background.
Mint Leaf After Death
In the glitch above,
go in the secret door I mentioned, and there should be a
room with a Mint Leaf. Fall down the hole while inhaling
the Mint Leaf. If done correctly, the Mint Leaf/Spicy Food
song will play for a second, even though Kirby died. When you
start the stage again, you will still have the Mint Leaf ability.
Go Behind the Background 2
After beating Kracko
Jr and grabbing the Warpstar, you will fall out a waterfall.
While falling, inhale the Mint Leaf to the left, so that you get
it the moment Kirby hits the water. Then fly out, and Kirby
will now be behind the background.
