UpdateThe (Actual) Return of Gurus81% -0+

Here comes the real return of Ask the Kirby Gurus. It may seem like a short go of things, but I've packed a lot of meat on those thin bones. Guess we'll see if this is a flash in the pan or the start of something long lasting and beautiful, like -- oh, what's that thing? Marriage? Of course not. A tattoo, that's it! Flaming skulls for the win, kiddies.

In what is -- without a doubt -- the worst sounding name ever, here's a push to transform regular, boring Tuesdays into Gurusdays! ... You know, as in Ask the Kirby Gurus. That hat, technically, was hung up some time ago, but there's been half- or quarter-dozen additions to the franchise since then. Or, at least it seems like it.

Gonna try to class up the Gurus back to its roots (or at least the roots from my time tenure on) by keeping the questions fewer per release and the answers very lengthy and over-analyzed.

Going with this whole wacky trend of "doing things again", I guess the ball should keep a-rollin'. Why not keep said rolling with a classic* Interactive Fandom Contest? Let's see how much this place still has its creative side awake (is so an expression, shut up).

* definition of a true "classic" may vary based on location and age

What's all this then? A second update? On only the second day of KRR's resurrection? I am setting a horrible precedent, aren't I? Don't get used to it.

Well, at least there is a good excuse: today is April Fool's Day, a holiday of sorts in these parts, and cool bean #1 in a cool fifteen bean salad Daimyo-KoiKoi (née Dedede Daimyo) has graced us with his latest fan comic endeavor, Mailbag Manga: Return 2 KRR~! No tricks here. Actually, the end. That's totally a trick. (Or is it?... yes, yes it is.)

Spring has spring-ed, and that can only mean one thing. Well, four, actually: I can't spell, I can't count, and it is time for some Spring Cleaning~! Every-every loves that, right?

What better place to start than the Mailbag? And unfortunately for the (barely) literate, the only way to clean it out is to answer some letters. And in the process, the answers were stored in hypertext format for your perusal, so please peruse Mailbag 85: Better Late Than Never~!

Pardon the mess, cutenews, our news script isn't playing very well. I'm looking into alternatives to it. Comments are broken in the meantime.

UpdateMore Birthday Celebrations!0% -0+

Good news, Resorters! On September 1 at PAX Prime in Seattle, 536 Kirby fans teamed up and shattered that world record. The previous record was only 304! Here is a photo of all of the participants. Great job, everyone!

Continuing Kirby's birthday celebrations, Nintendo is now having a contest to see who Kirby's biggest fan is. Here, you can submit your proof... it can be almost anything, so get creative!

UpdateKirby's 20th Anniversary Bubble Gum Group at PAX0% -0+

Nintendo has announced today that they are going to try to break a Guinness World Record on September 1 at the Penny Arcade Expo in Seattle. Since this year is Kirby's 20th anniversary, they are calling as many Kirby fans as they can get to one room to blow bubbles with gum simultaneously. Participants will not only (maybe) be a part of a Guinness World Record, but there will also be random prize giveaways for participants, including Kirby's Dream Collection, which won't be released until two weeks AFTER the event!

I encourage anyone that will be attending PAX to come contribute to this fun event! For the full details, see the full story below.

I'm also doing a promotion of sorts there, if you can find me there and mention KRR, I'll have a few Kirby themed goodies to give out. I'll be dressed in a Kirby's Dream Band pink shirt. Good luck!
