Writing Guide
From Kirbypedia
For people who want to contribute an article, or full members, here are the simple guidelines! (If you need to actually know how to do Wiki code, there are many other sites that will show you that. Google it.)

Main Guidelines
1: Consider our audience. Mainly kids! Keep your writing as clear and concise as possible.
2: Read existing articles to get a feel of the organization and style to keep things consistent. Don't feel like you have to write in someone else's 'style' though! But just try to follow other's examples.
3: Don't be afraid to fix other people's mistakes- but if it's something you're not sure on, ask first!
4: Please be able to back up any claims. We don't require SOURCES SOURCE SOURCES but stuff still needs to be verifiable. Obviously some level of interpretation is allowed, just say where you get it from.
5: It's Dream Land. Two words. :| Pop Star and Warp Star are also two words. Keep things consistent!
Naming Conventions
For all game related stuff, for the sake of consistency, use the English names for the articles. (Exceptions being obvious errors like Mr. Flosty.)
For anime stuff, because of the subs being done, use Japanese names.
Style
While I don't expect everyone to write in a single style, we do need some consistency!
Good: Kirby can be controlled by using the control pad. He inhales enemies and copies their powers.
Not so good: The player controls Kirby by using the control pad. They can make him inhale enemies and copy their powers.
Also not so good: You control Kirby by using the control pad. You can make him inhale enemies and copy their powers.
Try to avoid the second two styles at all costs.
Keep It Simple
Write as clearly as you possibly can. Less is more. If you can say it in 10 words say it in 10- not 30.
Not to say that some embellishing isn't allowed- that's half the fun, acting like this is some important academic work but it's more to avoid stuff that sounds clunky.
Whenever you write something, go back over it and see if there's any extraneous stuff that can be removed.
Organization
If a game character/location has a counterpart in the anime, they get a seperate page. All subgames, mini-games and levels get their own page where the full info on them will be written.
Be sure to distinguish between game and anime versions of a place or character. Always link to other pages by putting two brackets around the word. CHECK YOUR LINKS by using the Preview option. There's no excuse for broken links!
Remember to link to other pages as ya write- try to link to Kirby's page at least once per page. For game Kirby, you simple write [[Kirby (Games)|Kirby]] and it shows up as just Kirby. [[link name | text ]] and so on.
ALL pages must have the appropriate templates and categories. Just look at other pages for examples.
