One of Kirby's Copy abilities, perhaps the most useless. Kirby dons a sleeping cap and takes a nap for a few seconds, hindering his progress. In most games, this ability serves as nothing but an annoyance.

The reason for it to appear in as many games as it has is probably the cuteness factor. Doesn't he look comfortable?

Kirby's Adventure

After copying Sleep, Kirby will fall asleep for a few seconds. While asleep, Kirby can't move and is an open target to attackers.

Kirby Super Star

Sleep works largely the same as it did in Kirby's Adventure, except with the addition of Kirby's sleeping cap. There is also a sleep copy pedestal, which will grant sleep when touched. It, like the Noddys that preceded it, is used mostly as an attempt to slow down Kirby or leave him open to attacks.

Kirby: Nightmare in Dream Land

Aside from the addition of his sleeping cap, sleep works the same as it did in Kirby's Adventure.

Kirby Air Ride

If Kirby is unlucky enough to fall asleep during a race, he will slow to a stop, and will only wake up if the control stick is moved rapidly back and forth. On the plus side, any opponent that runs into him will fall asleep as well.

Kirby & the Amazing Mirror

Sleep works exactly the same as in Kirby: Nightmare in Dream Land.

Kirby Squeak Squad

Initially, sleep works like it did in Kirby: Nightmare in Dream Land, and Kirby & the Amazing Mirror. However, once he's acquired the Copy Scroll, Kirby can recover a small amount of health when asleep. If Kirby stores an ability bubble for Sleep, he can activate it almost anywhere, even underwater.

However, because it's just as easy to store various healing items like Maxim Tomatos, Sleep is still fairly useless.

Anime

Dedede tricks Kirby into swallowing a Noddy, causing him to fall into a deep sleep. But unlike the games, this sleep is supposed to last for a century, unless he is awakened with the scent of a mysterious bloom called the Pyukii Flower.
