A mini-boss and sometimes Boss in the Kirby game series.
Poppy Bros. Sr. is one of the older Poppies. He is a smiling clown with a large, round head that sports rosy cheeks and a big grin. He wears a drooping, pointed cap that is pulled down to just above his eyes with its white trimmed band. He wears blue clothing with a frilly, white collar and golden buttons down its front. His shoes are large, long, and curl at the end to a point.

Games
Kirby's Dream Land
Poppy Bros. Sr. appears in the middle Green Greens after disembarking from the Warp Star. He stays at one side of the screen and throws bombs at Kirby on a long, arked path. Occasionally, the jester leaps across the screen, and this action is always done twice in row. Spitting back three bombs defeats him.
In the Extra Game, Poppy hurls the bombs at a much faster pace. The bombs are thrown from the air, sending them at a downward angle at Kirby. Also, he will slide forward along the ground instead of hopping across, leaving no room to duck.
Kirby's Adventure
Poppy Bros. Sr. appears as a mini-boss, sometimes as a pair of twins. His behavior is much the same as it was before, including hopping and bomb throwing. Now, however, when he is defeated, he can be inhaled to get the Crash ability.
Kirby's Avalanche
Poppy Bros. Sr. is faced as the fourth challenger in the Ghost Trap tournament. The exchange between him and Kirby is as follows:
- Poppy: Hi, Kirby! Want a bomb sandwich?
- Kirby: I'll breathe in your pathetic bombs and send them right back at you!
- Poppy: Stalemate... Okay, let's compete in a quick game of Avalanche!

Poppy Bros. Sr. made more appearance, each time keeping with his previously established course of action. However, the ability he offered varied.
