One of Kirby's Copy abilities. Very similar to Spark, and in fact Spark can act much like Plasma in some games. The differences between the two is similar to Freeze and Ice, in that one is stationary and the other is more projectile-based. Plasma would be the latter.
The name plasma may be referring to one of the states of matter, usually an ionized gas with unique properties. Strong electrical charges are associated with it.

Games
Kirby Super Star
When Kirby wields Plasma, the attack he uses is based on how much charge he has stored from moving around.
- Plasma Needle (No Charge) - Kirby will fire a small, weak, short-range spark which will do negligible damage to enemies.
- Plasma Arrow (Slight Charge) - Kirby will fire a small, weak, but long-range arrow that still does a small amount of damage.
- Plasma Spark (Medium Charge) - Kirby will fire off electric discharge which is relatively powerful, but doesn't reach very far.
- Plasma Laser (High Charge) - Kirby will fire off a small but powerful and long-range needle
- Plasma Wave Cannon (Full Power) - Before attacking, Kirby will be surrounded by a plasma shield which will attack enemies when they touch it. After attacking, Kirby will throw the shield, which acts as a large and powerful long-range projectile.
Kirby Air Ride
Again, the attack that Kirby uses depends on how much the control stick is moved prior to attacking. This time, there's a bar that appears to show how much power Kirby has stored so far.
- Power Level 1 - Kirby will fire a small series of sparks ahead of him
- Power Level 2 - Kirby will fire off two small series of sparks ahead of him
- Power Level 3 - Kirby will fire off three plasma bolts ahead of him
- Power Level 4 - Kirby will fire a Plasma Laser ahead of him
- Power Level 5 - Kirby will create a shield similar to the Plasma Wave Cannon, and fire it ahead of him
Other
Plasma and Spark are sometimes seen as interchangeable, as recently Spark has begun exhibiting properties previously only seen in Plasma. In the anime series, Spark Kirby uses long distance attacks like Plasma's energy blasts. And in Kirby Squeak Squad, the upgraded Spark allows Kirby to charge up and fire a long-range attack.
