Pitch is a bird. Kirby carries around this tiny bird when they pair up, which is backwards from the norm.

Games
Pitch first appeared with the two other new Animal Friends in Kirby's Dream Land 3. In this game, his role is to amplify the abilities Kirby already possesses.
Pitch makes a cameo in Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards as a statue carved from the combination of the Stone and Cutter abilities.
Appearance
Pitch is a small, green bird. He has a white underbelly and a yellow beak. Two beady, black eyes are positioned above it. The plumage on the end of his wings and tail is a darker tint than the rest of his body. Two feathers stick up from the top of his head. Tiny, stick like legs protrude from beneath the bird.
Background
Pitch first crossed paths with Kirby the second time Dark Matter terrorized Dream Land.
Personality
Pitch is the eager, young novice of the group who is ready to learn and grow so he can be just like his hero, Coo.
Abilities
Kirby's Dream Land 3
Pitch allows Kirby to fly, but his mobility is not as strong as Coo's while still better than what can be managed without assistance. The bird is also much smaller than the other pets and allows Kirby to enter small spaces that the larger pets are not capable of accessing. Because of this reduced size, enemies cannot be stomped upon to defeat them. Pitch does not inhale enemies on his own and utilizes the intake method used by whoever he is paired with. Kirby's Copy Abilities are changed into the following when paired with the bird:
- Burning: Firebird Throw
- Clean: Bubble Burst
- Cutter: Bird-erang
- Ice: Directional Chiller
- Needle: Beak Driver
- Parasol: Parasol Golf
- Spark: Remote Control
- Stone: Rock Dive
Relationships
Kirby and Pitch work together to save Dream Land, although there is no real reason as to why. Unlike in previous games, Pitch is not being saved from any dire situation. For the cause of good, presumably, the bird assists the creme puff in his efforts. The same help is offered to Gooey, who also is allowed to carry the feathered friend. While Pitch does not hate the other Animal Friends, he is saddened when they are chosen over him to assist in Kirby's efforts.
Pitch idolizes Coo, who the novice flier views a role model. The admiration is not mutually returned.
A pink bird, Hiiru, is Pitch's mother.
