One of Kirby's Copy abilities.
A deceptively simple, harmless looking ability, it allows Kirby to use a red and white striped, star-tipped parasol as a weapon, or to slow his fall from high places. Parasol is one of the few abilities to never have Kirby wearing a hat, other than many of the final abilities like Star Rod.

Kirby's Adventure
Parasol is not only a weapon but a shield. Kirby swings the umbrella forward to strike the foes that are right in front of him. By holding down the button, it can be held out to block anything from hitting him.
In between the times it is used to whack enemies, it offers Kirby protection. Anything coming in from above, or sometimes behind that touches it will be damaged just as though it got hit.
Plus, when falling from the sky, it will catch Kirby and allow him to drift down slowly so he will not find himself deep in a messy circumstance. This can be broken by holding down, which will allow him to crash like normal.
Upon getting hit or other events, the Parasol will be retracted. By simply using the attack, it will be pulled out and remain there until the event occurs again.
Kirby's Dream Land 2
The Parasol is great tool to Kirby, giving him both the ability to attack and defend himself. It operates just like it did in Kirby's Adventure where, when out, it will inflict damage and slow his descent. When coupled with an Animal Friend, the Parasol does not offer these abilities.
Rick rolls Kirby over his head an onto the Parasol before balancing both upon his nose. The attack has a short range of effect directly in front of the hamster but has a far reach above him. Rick is left vulnerable while in this state.
Coo pops the Parasol from his head and spins around in a violent twister for a short time period. Once the attack gets in full spin, nothing will hurt the owl as he can freely move about and damage anything in his path in any direction.
Kine has the Parasol stick out of his mouth where it has a very short reach. This is all the attack can manage.
Kirby's Dream Course
By deploying the Parasol, Kirby can slow his speed greatly, but it has more use in the air. When falling, it can be pulled out to allow a guided descent. Steering left and right will turn Kirby and allow him to fall where he is needed.
Kirby Super Star
Parasol gains a large number of new attacks in this version, as most abilities in this game do. It can only be gained from inhaling a Parasol holding Waddle Dee or Waddle Doo, or a stray Parasol. Parasol can also be used underwater, unlike most other abilities.
- Parasol Swing - Kirby will swing his Parasol forward, damaging enemies with a spray of water popped out of the top.
- Parasol Shield - Holding the Parasol out after swinging will cause it to spin and emit stars from the tip, damaging enemies that get close and blocking attacks.
- Parasol Drill - Attacking while dashing makes Kirby spin the Parasol rapidly, sending larger stars out to damage enemies.
- Parasol Dive - Attacking while dropping makes Kirby point the Parasol below him, damaging enemies from above.
- Parasol Roll - Hitting Y when near an enemy will allow Kirby to grab them and spin them around on top of his Parasol for high damage. Throwing them finishes them off.
- Parasol Chute - As with other games, Kirby uses the Parasol to slow his descent, unless down is pressed to cancel it.
Kirby's Dream Land 3
Kirby and Gooey can arm themselves with the Parasol to beat enemies, block attacks, or protect their heads from foes up high, similar to this ability's performance in past games. Different from before, the player
Rick balances his partner upon the Parasol upon his nose in a display that looks impressive visually but is not so offensively.
Coo deploys the Parasol from the top of his head and whirls about like a tornado, taking out anything in his path that he can freely navigate for a brief time period.
Kine pops the Parasol from his mouth, striking directly in front of himself, before rolling onto his back to hold the tool overhead. The whole of his top is shielded but the rest of him is exposed. The prop can be held out as he moves about, freely able to jump and carry on as normal. While it is held up, the fish will fall more slowly, allowing him to extend his jumping distance to cover gaps he could not manage before.
Nago and his partner hop about on the Parasol like it was a pogo stick, bouncing up and down. The attack only affects below him, leaving his top exposed to enemies and attacks.
Chuchu and her partner hop into the Parasol and spin around for a lovely ride together. The umbrella slowly moves along the ground forward taking out anything it runs into. The pair are left exposed to anything from above as it only affects things to the sides and below.
Pitch is putted like a golf ball that bounces across the scene. When he reaches the end of his path, he takes to flight and returns to his partner. On both routes of his trip, he damages enemies. While separated, Pitch's partner is left exposed and unable to attack or defend themselves.
Kirby Squeak Squad
In this game, Parasol works the same as Kirby's Adventure and such, in that Kirby can only swing his parasol in front of him, or hold the attack button to spin it. However, with the Copy Scroll, it gains the attack similar to Parasol Shield where it will emit stars if held out in front.
Other Games
Parasol returns with identical use to its previous appearances, typically as it was in adventure or the title the current is a remake for.
Anime
Parasol Kirby in the anime is most like the version from Super Star, with several of the same attacks- namely Parasol Swing and Parasol Shield, in addition to Parasol Grab and Throw, which he uses on Dedede.
This ability was unusual in that in its first appearance in Episode 013, Kirby did not use it in battle, but instead only to slow his fall from high up in the air.
