Blob is a rare find for Kirby. She replaces Chao in Kirby's Dream Land 2 as a possibility of a sack's contents in the overseas versions of the game.

Games

Blob appears in only one game, and finding her requires specific conditions. When a sack is freed, if the pet that was to be contained within is already paired with Kirby, it will be a slime instead. Normally, this is Gooey who will give Kirby an extra point of health. However, if his life meter is already full, it will be Blob who will award an extra life instead.

Finding and freeing her is required to gain 1% towards the game completion total, which is only added the first time she is saved.

Appearance

Blob is, unsurprisingly, an egg-shaped blob and stands a little taller than Kirby. She is lightly colored, being brighter than Gooey but more shaded than Kirby. Because she only appeared in a colorless game, there is no way to know what this was intended to be. She has large white eyes with big, dark pupils. She wears a happy smile and a bow on the back of her head. She has no limbs, feet, hands, or other appendages.

Relationships

Blob is the younger sister of Gooey. Although it is never officially stated, this makes her made of the same make as Dark Matter.

While her appearance is similar to that of Chuchu, no connection is ever made between the two in the series.
