Efrite was a mini-boss in Kirby’s Dreamland 2. He was replaced in the sequel by the slightly different, yet same-based Bobo. Both Efrite and Bobo are fire-based and dash at Kirby in a ‘fireball’ fashion. If Kirby jumps over them, they won’t be able to brake and they will hit the wall, dropping plenty of debris for Kirby to use to his advantage.
Efreet is a fire based spirit, much like his Kirby counterpart. It is also spelled as “Ifrit” which is much more recognizable for his appearances in SquareEnix’s Final Fantasy. Efreet are the second strongest out of the five classes of djinn (Genie in English/French) that reside in the Holy City of Brass. They consider themselves superior to all other races since they supposedly “came first”, and they resent the fact that humans found magical ways to manipulate them and control them. Efreet are often difficult to handle and they often show real attitudes toward their masters.
The thing that is the most impressive is that Ifrit are mentioned in the Islamic Qur’an. King Solomon asks a crowd of various spirits and creatures who can bring him the throne of Queen Sheba to him the fastest. A strong Ifrit from the jinn said: "I will bring it to you before you rise from your place. And verily, I am indeed strong, and trustworthy for such work." … Unfortunately, he was outperformed by another prayer.
It can be safe to say that Efreet are not generally very nice creatures. While they are just like normal Genies and can grant wishes, bad things befall to those who free an Efreet from its lamp.
