022711 Kirby-RS: I would like to remind those who wish to register for the Oekaki board should include a link to an actual online art gallery of some sort with your work in it! (A good example of this would be a link to your deviantArt account or your KRR FanArt Gallery! Not a link to Google or the main site!) I would also like to note those trying to register to not register multiple times, since Oekaki accounts must be approved!

It always irked me, the "grab the sword" thing. xD I guess it's to make sure you can't spam with a cool ability (tornado is useful for bosses XD). I'm going to try and keep this board living until someone else comes too. ^^

God, it's been so long since I've been on here.
I feel bad that I still haven't improved that much.
;_; It's so sad to find that everyone's been branching off, and there aren't even any more newcomers here. It's like everyone just disappeared off the face of Popstar, and never came back.
I understand though, I guess some people have jobs to go to, others are just busy with work, but I wish other people would post at least a doodle or something; I guess not a lot of people are into Kirby anymore.

Extra Edit: Okay, I fixed it. -______-;;;; Well, now it looks more rushed. But there's not a big difference anymore.

I've been lurking in the shadows... I do miss how much more active this place used to be... (as well as how much more active I used to be with drawing in general oTL) Growing up is kinda lame!

Yeah, I understand. I still have the oekaki bookmarked and I check back every once and a while. Personally I don't use oekaki as a drawing tool, though, so I don't really use the site anymore. I don't know how people found this board but the flow has definitely slowed to a trickle, which is sad. Maybe one day it will be revived.. ;v;/

It's been a long time, hasn't it? Just wanted to drop by with a doodle and say hello to everyone. I've grown up quite a lot since the last few times I've posted. Did you know I came here for my first time in high school? Now, here I am with a diploma from college. Time goes by fast, doesn't it?

I haven't doodled on Oekaki for a long time! It feels very weird, and I got really impatient drawing this even though it's simple and not so great.

I know I haven't contributed to this for a while now...
It seems like mostly everyone has just suddenly left...
And that's too bad, too, because they just released the Kirby Wii game that had 6 kirby games inside of it! (I'm kinda bummed, since I already bought and played most of the games in there already...)
I've been trying to touch up on drawing humans, as you can see... So for any of the people who are still on this website, can you guys give me tips on drawing?

Argh I haven't played a Kirby game in so long! The last one I heard about was Return to Dreamland, I think? With Dedede and Meta Knight and Waddle Dee..

Hm... I really think this looks quite nice. The only thing I'd fix is the right (our left) shoulder. It goes down too much before the arm bends up. If you look in a mirror and bend your arm up in a similar fashion you'll see that the shoulder dips only slightly before joining the arm in being raised. I do this a lot and always have to go back and erase. I suggest drawing a "skeleton" underneath that consists of a box for the torso, lines for the arms, and circles for the joints. Very basic but it's helped me a lot. C:

tl;dr? I think you're doing great so far! Tweak the right (our left) shoulder and it should be fine.
I'm no expert though, so feel free to ignore me. UvU *nod*

Yes, that looks much better. It sounds cliche but "practice makes perfect" really does "make perfect!" And the best part of being an artist is you're allowed to stare at people intently, and if you get strange looks you can say, "It's okay, I'm an artist." >vo
