Up Cloud is a aiming game where Kirby must push up one of three clouds to the top to earn a given number of extra lives.

There are three columns, each with a different number of 1 Ups at the top and a faced cloud, like Nimbus. Each of the prizes are different, ranging from one to three extra lives. The higher the number, the further down the cloud is located. Every time the game is played, the order they are placed is randomly changed.

The goal of the game is for Kirby to knock a cloud up to the top of the screen to get the most bonus lives possible. The greater the reward given, the further the cloud must be pushed up. Once any cloud reaches the top, the award is given, and he returns to the level he came from.

The game is played like a regular level where Kirby is launched from the paddle and is bounced off the clouds and walls. Should Kirby miss the paddle and fall out of bounds, any bonus is forfeited. Striking the bottom of a cloud will push it up one level while bouncing off the top portion will only throw Kirby off at an increased speed.
