| Japanese Name: | きらきら星 Kirakira hoshi Sparkling Star |
| First Game: | Kirby's Dream Land |
| Type: | Collectable |
An item in Kirby's Dream Land. Kirby must reclaiming all five from various level leaders for his fellow inhabitants of Dream Land.
The stars are just that: sparkling stars with five points. A larger one is trailed by a smaller star. The two parts spin about. After the Bosses are beat at the end of each level, Kirby takes back the star and celebrates with a happy dance.
The Sparkling Stars do not bring forth an ultimate weapon at the end of the game for Kirby to wield against the true evil. King Dedede is final threat and true villain. When all of the Stars are reunited, they go into Kirby, causing him to grow to an enormous size, which allows him to float away with Dedede's castle, and all of its stolen food, to return the bounty to his people.
In the Kirby Super Star sub-game remake of Dream Land, Spring Breeze, the Sparkling Stars again appear and must be liberated from the clutches of Dedede's goons. However, only four are available to collect this time.
