A regular enemy in the Kirby games.

Scarfy is an adorable little pudge with a mean temper and a second face. At first sight, its a round creature with a happy face comprised of tiny smile and a pair of eyes. It has two pointed flippers on top of its head that it flaps. When it is angered, it transforms. A large, single eye with a slit shaped pupil and veiny sides replaces the previous pair. Its mouth expands into a wide open jaw filled with sharp teeth and a pointed tongue.

Kirby's Dream Land

Scarfy can be found in the Bubbly Clouds stage. It happily floats in place after dropping down from above. It does not attack unless Kirby tries to inhale it. Once he does, it slips backward, changes into its altered state, and flies after him. After a while, it stops and explodes. Whenever Scarfy is destroyed, it explodes, meaning Kirby has to keep his distance.

Scarfy changes in the Extra Game. The resulting explosion from its detonation has a larger reach.

Kirby's Pinball Land

Scarfy appears on the first scene of the Kracko level. It sits in the middle of the scene around dimmed letters of its name. Spell it out and it splits into three Scarfies arranged in a triangle. Whenever Kirby comes in contact with one of them, it fades away while the other two turn fierce and shoot him in that direction. Hitting the top one sends him into the next scene.

Scarfy appears in Level 1-3. Here, it drops a Crash item after being hit.

Kirby Super Star

Scarfy appears with the same tactics. It is calm until Kirby tries to suck it up. Also, if Scarfy is hit by a weak attack, such as being bumped into or hit with a tiny knife, it changes. In some later stages, it changes face and sneaks up on Kirby when his back is turned. Once he turns back around, they resume their cheerful facade.

Despite the inability to inhale Scarfy, it still has an ability to offer, Crash, but it can only be claimed through the use of the Copy power.

Other Games

Scarfy maintains the same behavior it displayed in previous games, being a two-faced foe that does not like to be inhaled. In Kirby 64, it also exhibits the sneaking behavior witnessed in Super Star.
