Samurai Kirby is a reflex game where Kirby tests his speed with a sword against a slew of adversaries.
The game has three settings and five challengers to face, each increasing in difficulty. Kirby faces off against his opponent with the setting sun in the background and await a cue, a series of exclamation points accompanied with a beep. The faster of the two strikes first and defeats the other. If the button is pressed too soon, a penalty is earned. Two will forfeit the player. The penalties are cleared in the next round.
The time of the winning player is displayed on a sign post. The number is tenths of a second, meaning a display of 25 would be 2.5 seconds.
The modes are Beginner, Novice, and Expert. The challengers include Waddle Doo, Wheelie, Cook Kawasaki, King Dedede, and Meta Knight.
| Level | Beginner | Novice | Expert |
|---|---|---|---|
| Waddle Doo | 82 | 63 | 18 |
| Wheelie | 50 | 41 | 14 |
| Cook Kawasaki | 21 | 17 | 12 |
| King Dedede | 16 | 13 | 10 |
| Meta Knight | 11 | 10 | 8 |
Trivia
