Category: Regular enemy

A regular enemy in the Kirby games.

Mirra is a shy foe who covers doorways and can take them away. It has an elastic, amophic, yellow body that wraps around a door's frame. From the side bubbles out its rounded head with its round eyes and small mouth. When not stretched out over a mirror, its body takes on a simple droplet shape that tapers to a point at the lower back.

Kirby & the Amazing Mirror

Mirra can be found exclusively covering doorways. Not only that, but it is the door itself. Because of this, it cannot cause harm to the player unlike normal enemies, and does not move around. It can bury itself underground if frightened by the player.

A number of things can scare Mirra enough to cause it to hide away. Approaching it too quickly, like running, makes it panic. Making any noise nearby it, such as from jumping, sliding, inhaling, flying (but not drifting), or using an ability, does as well. If a screen shaking ability, like Stone or Burning, is used too close, it sends it off as well.

Mirra can be safely taken out from afar with a star or long range ability without scaring it off. An air pellet can also be used if brought in to it. Once defeated, the covered doorway can be used as per normal.
