Miracle Matter is one of the boss characters that Kirby must fight in his game series.

Miracle Matter is the 'fake' final boss of the Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards. It is fought after the three levels on Ripple Star are beaten, in an area floating above the third level.

Appearance

Miracle Matter has many different forms, but its basic form is a white polygon with many faces, each side showing a red eye. It is invincible when like this, and can only be harmed when it changes to another form.

Battle

The way Miracle Matter attacks is by using techniques based off of all the basic copy abilities Kirby can use in the game- Burning, Ice, Stone, Needle, Cutter, Bomb and Spark. It will produce items in each form that Kirby can inhale to gain that ability. The only way to inflict damage is by either spitting the projectile back at Miracle Matter before it returns to its basic form, or by attacking it with the same copy ability it is currently using using. Using an ability against Miracle Matter that does not match its current form is useless.

The Ice form of Miracle Matter has it turning into an ice pyramid, and it floats around the area. There are little ice pyramids floating around it that can be inhaled.

Burning turns Miracle Matter into a burning single eye that moves horizontally, vertically, or diagonally, then shooting out bursts of flame several times. The flames hit the ceiling and floor when moving horizontally, the side walls if vertically, and four flames come out on all sides when diagonal. They leave behind a giant embers which can be inhaled.

The Cutter mode turns Miracle Matter into a 3-piece, spiked boomerang shape which resembles the Fishbone enemy. It flies through the air, dives down, and repeats, getting lower each time until it drags through the floor. The third and smallest portion of this form can be inhaled.

Bomb mode makes it into a bubble that divides into 4 different bubbles. Then, the bubbles go through the room, multiply again, and eventually evaporate. Some leave behind dark black balls that can be inhaled.

Miracle Matter's stone form has it start out as a large boulder. It follows Kirby around, and eventually drops two smaller rocks from the air near Kirby. It repeats this once, and then drops to the ground, rolling across the bottom of the screen. The small rocks it tries to drop on Kirby are capable of being inhaled.

With Spark, Miracle Matter become an electric ball that's shaped like a star. It shoots light beams that bounce off it and go in straight line, then appear in the other side of the room in a recursive fashion. They grow shorter until turning into a stationary projectile.

The final ability, Needle, makes it look like a spiky star. The spikes then grow straight out and hit the sides of the room. They retract back to Miracle Matter and leave behind a spike that can be inhaled.

After its life bar is depleted, Miracle Matter explodes. If all the Crystal Shards were collected, Zero Two will be fought. If not, the bad ending will play.
