Games
Kirby Super Star
Dyna Blade appears as the final boss in its self titled sub-game, Dyna Blade. She appears later as a challenge in the The Arena.
Dyna Blade if fought on a mountaintop in a wide open space. She drops down on a side of the screen, which she fills up, and attacks. Every time she touches down, a star is produced on each side of her. When grounded, her head can be thrown forward on a very extensive neck to strike the player. A volley of blue flame can also be shot out her mouth. She can lift off the ground and open up a new array of attacks. She can swoop down and snatch the player and squeeze them in her talons, move to the other side of the screen, or drop back down where she started. She can soar off screen and appear in the background. A dive is made towards the screen where she scrapes the ground with her wing. Afterwards, she reappears from the top of the screen and continues as normal.
It is learned, after defeating her, Dyna Blade was only getting food for her fledgling chicks. Kirby takes care of them in their mother's absence, feeding them apples from Whispy Woods and teaching them to fly. As repayment, she reappears in Revenge of Meta Knight where she flies Kirby back to the Halberd after he is blown away from the deck. She is shot down and is unable to assist him any further.
Kirby Air Ride
Dyna Blade appears in a City Trial Event. When found, if the player crashes their air ride machine into her head (but not anywhere else), a plethora of power-ups is released. Additionally, it will unlock her theme in the Sound Test.
A second challenge involving Dyna Blade is to get trampled on by her when she appears. Doing so successfully will unlock a free check mark for the City Trial Checklist.
Kirby Super Star Ultra
Dyna Blade returns with no changes to its behavior or appearance. She appears in Helper to Hero as the fifth challenge.
This time, her battle music has been changed from the standard boss theme to her theme from Air Ride.
