Crane Fever is a crane game where one captures Kirby plushies for extra lives. There are two obtainable plushies in the mini-game, one big one and one small one. The big one is worth two extra lives, and the small one is worth one. Players have two chances to score extra lives.
To catch one, press and hold the A button to move the crane, and release the button when it's over a plushy. If positioned right, the crane will swoop down, pick up the plushy, and release it in the prize tube. After getting a plushy, another will fall from above.
In the remake, Kirby: Nightmare in Dream Land, this game was replaced by Bomb Rally.
