A regular enemy in the Kirby games.
Cappy is a hopping mushroom. At first, it appears to just be a bouncing fungus, but if an inhalation is attempted, Kirby only gets the spotted cap and finds a wiggling stalk with flailing arms.

Games
Kirby's Dream Land
Cappy appears in Green Greens as a fairly common foe. It tends to patrol a small section of land, hopping back and forth. Sometimes, it can be found with its cap already off.
When Kirby tries to inhale it, it jumps back and only tosses off its cap, but the whole enemy can be captured if the suction is started close enough to the foe. Cappy's behavior and capabilities remain unchanged throughout most of the Kirby series.
Cappy is replaced with Blopper in the Dream Land's Extra Game.
Kirby's Pinball Land
Cappy appears at the top of the Whispy Woods level. Once all of them are hit, the star to Whispy appears next to Slippy.
Kirby's Block Ball
Cappy can be found in Level 1-4 where it holds the stage's warp star. After hitting it thrice, Kirby goes on to fight an oversized Cappy.
Kirby Tilt 'n' Tumble
Cappy can be found in the desert levels without its trademark cap, presumably filling the role of a cactus. It also hides in some jumpers during later levels.
