There are several cannons positioned throughout Dream Land. When Kirby hops inside, they will blast him to some far away location. Normally, for this to happen, an attached fuse will need to be lit. Once it is set, Kirby will have to race to get in before it goes off, or else he will have to try it again.

Only certain abilities are capable of lighting a fuse. These are listed below. Meta Knight, in Kirby: Nightmare in Dream Land, can light them with his sword.

- UFO
- Bomb (In Kirby & the Amazing Mirror only.)
