A regular enemy in the Kirby games.
Boten is a sneaky foe. It blends in with the cacti of the desert. Its body is green and spherical, flattened slightly where it sits on the ground. It has a pair of thin eyes at its front side. Many spikes protrude from its back which can be lengthened and thrust outward.

Boten is only found in the desert. It sits on top of cacti until Kirby draws near. When he passes underfoot, it drops down at him in attempts of pricking him with its large spikes. It can be taken out on top of the cactus before it reveals itself.
When swallowed, it gives the Needle copy ability.
