One of Kirby's Copy abilities that allows him to slam enemies on the ground, wrestling-style.
A very similar ability is Suplex which appears in Kirby Super Star. It could be said that Suplex is a more complex version of Backdrop.

Kirby's Adventure
In this version, Kirby only turns the usual orange color to show he has the ability. When attacking, Kirby first uses his normal inhale to grab the enemy, and then depending on which direction is pressed, will perform a different wrestling-type move on them, such as flipping backwards and slamming them on the ground.
Kirby: Nightmare in Dream Land
In the remake of KA, Backdrop Kirby wears a red headband, making it look identical to the Fighter ability in other games. (However, their attacks are quite different.) Also, instead of inhaling his enemy, he dashes forward to grab them.
Other Notes
Inhaling the mini-boss Bugzzy gives Backdrop in the games listed above, but in Kirby Super Star he gives Suplex. The anime version of Bugzzy gives Sword.
