A regular enemy in the Kirby games.
Babut is a small, bat foe. It has a black, egg-shaped body with a pair of membranous wings stretching out from the side with red flaps. Pointed, bent ears with red inside stick up from its head. It has an upturned red nose flanked by two small, white eyes.

Babut can be seen hanging from ceilings with its wings wrapped around its body. It waits upside down patiently until Kirby draws close enough for it to attack. It swoops down from up high and dives at his face. If it makes contact, it latches on and sucks energy from Kirby before flying away. This means, unlike most times contact is made with a foe, it is not destroyed in the process.
