One of the boss characters that Kirby must fight in his games.

Ado is a young human girl with black or brown hair (the artwork varies), a green artist's smock, a gray skirt, and a red beret. Ado carries around a sketchbook and a bag of art supplies.

Ado is one of Kirby's allies who was possessed by Dark Matter. She is shown in the credits of the game drawing pictures of other characters.

Kirby's Dream Land 3

Kirby does not actually fight Ado- but rather her creations. Ado is a master painter that uses her canvas to paint images that come to life.

As he is affected by Dark Matter, Ado's creations are aimed toward Kirby's demise. One by one, Ado will paint a new creature for Kirby to battle, as she conveniently hides behind the canvas to watch the action.

Kirby will take on painted versions of Ice Dragon, Sweet Stuff, Mr. Shine and Mr. Bright, Kracko, and finally Ado will come down from her easel to put up a one-hit fight. Without her creations, she is very weak. After she is defeated, she can be visited from the world map, and from here she'll paint cheery pictures for amusement.

At the end of the game, if 0 is defeated, Ado draws pictures for Kirby and all their friends.

Trivia

• Ado was named in tribute to Mizumori Ado, the illustrator who made the official artwork for Kirby's Dream Land 3 and Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards.
• There is endless debate and confusion on whether the characters Ado and Adeleine are different characters, or the same character given different names.
• There are even those who say Ado is a "boy" version of Adeleine despite being said to be female.
