Dedede-Daimyo presents: Samurai Kirby!5929 viewsThe New Year 2009 is upon us, my friends! As I have promised, I have returned with Macro-functioning camera in hand, able to display my extentuous hand-crafted collection of Kirby artworks in all their glory! Throughout 2009, I will update this album (3D Daimyo Dojo!) EVERY WEEKDAY, just like Sakurai's famous blog this past year! For all future reference, these sculptures are made from Super Sculpey polymer clay and colored in acrylic paint. Join me, KRR and 3D fans, for an astounding New Year!!!7 commentsDedede-Daimyo

Samurai Kirby!~ Kirby1905 viewsKirby is full of Japanese flair. In this fashion, he is always shown with thick eyebrows for some reason. He carries a traditional Japanese sword, Katana, and has his hair pulled back into a ponytail. Wait... Kirby doesn't normally have hair?! The same hairstyle is seen in Kirby Card Swipe, though it is more consolidated in this appearence. And the weapon is not always a sword; it can also be a fan, hammer, or noisemaker, under certain conditions. Samurai Kirby has been featured in KSS, KSSU, and K:NiD4 commentsDedede-Daimyo
SK~_Waddle_Doo.jpg
Samurai Kirby!~ Waddle Doo1881 viewsWaddle Doo is an underling of Dedede Daimyo in this appearence. He is dressed in traditional Japanese pilgramage garb, consisting of a broad straw hat and a striped blue cape. You can always spot Waddle Doo by the giant, single eye. Instead of shooting a beam, he uses a paper fan, seen in Japanese comidy skits. Though he has enthusiasm about being a samurai, Waddle Doo is the least skilled of all the troupes, and is almost always the first to fail! Poor Waddle Doo...4 commentsDedede-Daimyo

Samurai Kirby!~ Wheelie1758 viewsThe next combatant is Wheelie, the solitary wheel. He wears a green, probably plastic, Japanese workers hat with a yellow stripe. He carries a pointed stick with a traveler's bag on the end of it, but this is not often used offencively. He prefers to simply run-down any challenger, leaving tire-marks on their face. One might wonder: how is he able to hold on to that hat and staff, being an appendageless wheel? He has the quickest movement of the samurai, but his body movements photograph his attack, to end.3 commentsDedede-Daimyo

Samurai Kirby!~ Chef Kawasaki1878 viewsHere's Kawasaki, the guy with a Japanese name befitting his appearence in Samurai Kirby! He is dressed in Japanese chef/cook attire, mainly that of a sushi chef, with a blue shirt, flat cap, and an apren (on which is written the symbol for 'food'). His dramatic pose comes from the Kabuki theater. He wields a stir-fry wok for a weapon, but it is shown he also has a giant pie somewhere, as a defete from Kirby yields pie in his face. He is a comidic character, for sure!3 commentsDedede-Daimyo
SK~_Meta_Knight.JPG
Samurai Kirby!~ Meta Knight2698 viewsMeta Knight, or more accuratly, Meta Samurai, is the toughest of all challengers in this minigame. He has such skill and is so quick, that he is able to strike within a fraction of a fraction of a second from when the exclamation sounds. His weapon of chioce is a broad katana. He wears his mask with a slice over the eye, cape and collar, armored sholderpads, straw sandles, and his [hair!?] up in chongmange style. However, in his first appearence, Samurai MK was only scantily clad.6 commentsDedede-Daimyo

Samurai Kirby!~ King Dedede2508 viewsDedede is the Daimyo of the 'Samurai Kirby' profecture! Seriously though, he is my avatar, if noone has noticed yet. I believe I have explained all there is about him in my 2D work, "Dedede Daimyo", so seek that out if you want to know about his outfit and such. Here, he is in a mie pose, seen in Kabuki theator; with his mallot behind him and his left arm outstreched. This sculpture is reminissent of another of my 2D works, "Dedede-Daimyo of KRR". This style is based off of the minigame in K:NiDL.10 commentsDedede-Daimyo
Kirby.JPG
Kirby2130 viewsThis is the basic Kirby sculpture in my collection. There is really nothing special about this guy, other than being the very first figure in the series. That said, I have made many other Kirbys in my lifetime! I started building the 3D Daimyo Dojo in 2007, and now have an entire cabinate filled with Dreamland's finest sculptures! Please excuse the minor flaws in the first couple of pieces, as I was making many sculptures a day and did not allow myself time to make everything perfect. Stay tuned tomorrow.2 commentsDedede-Daimyo
Waddle_Dee.JPG
Waddle Dee2106 viewsIt is he who has appeared in every Kirby game to date! Waddle Dee seems to be the most recognizable regular enemy in the series, perhaps the most numerous creature on Popstar. Their lives consist of little more than simply strolling around, bumping into things, and being lazy. They have also been known to carry Parasols and Spears offencivly, and even help Kirby on occasion. Many serve as Dedede's troups, though just as many seem to roam the land freely. The are the simplist of creatures; That is why they are so prolific!4 commentsDedede-Daimyo
Waddle_Doo.JPG
Waddle Doo2031 viewsThe guy with a huge eye and is cousen to Waddle Dee. He holds the Beam ability and can also become a helper character. In his first appearence, KDL, he and all other enemies offered Kirby no abilities. With that in mind, You will see that I am presenting these sculptures in order of game cronology. Also, again please excuse the quality of the first couple of sculptures; as it gets later in the year, You will see the improvement. Dispite his popularity, Waddle Doo is only featured in a handful of games.7 commentsDedede-Daimyo
Gordo.JPG
Gordo1956 viewsThe indestructable spike ball of death! He does more damage than any other regular enemy; in fact, he is more of an obsticle than a foe. King Dedede throws them as a special attack in Brawl, though how he is able to conceil them in the first place is a mystery. Gordo has been in most Kirby games, where he is feared and avoided. In the hardest boss modes, bosses even release Gordos to attack Kirby! I Know he has 8 spikes instead of only 6, but I was just careless, I guess.4 commentsDedede-Daimyo
Bronto_Burt.JPG
Bronto Burt1840 viewsBronto Burt has a big name for such a small creature! He is one of the flying enemies Kirby regularly encounters on his travels. He is a simple foe with a simple shape- very easy to make, as is only 3 spheres, fly-wings, and a face. BBs fly through the air, walk along the ground and take off, or home in on Kirby for attack. Their relative is Koozer. For all flying/floating creatures, I use wire formed to a triangle shape, to support their mass. It gives a more authentic feel, I believe.3 commentsDedede-Daimyo
