"Before you go, Dusk...I've got a request." Pandora coughed and grunted in pain. "If I die here...Tell Rayd...Tell him I'm gonna miss him." She had faced death many times before, once not even that long ago, but she knew she was on its doorstep right now, closer than any time before, any time after. The feeling of Zane's pistol laying on her head was more of a comfort than it should've been, but it was likely the only thing between her and the rest of the Coliseum's residents, and whether it could stop her or not in the event of her loss of control was a question whose answer she didn't know. The only thing she could do right now was fight to stay conscious and hope it wouldn't have to come down to her death.

((*shrug* I dunno. 'Bout all I figured out what to do for sure.))

"Ok, here we are!" Spindow shouted with glee as he kicked his way past several tables before slumping Cappy onto the fossilized relic of a piece of furniture that was his couch. "I'm going to run through the checklist before we start, try to let the horribly uncomfortable petrified seat cushions wake you up, you sure as hell can't sleep on them." He muttered under his breath as he walked around the cafe to perform a once over.

"Lights... Check. Cheap method of capturing the Interview... Hi Deguass! I'll be over for tea and security tapes later." Spindow waved to the ever present eye of the arena. "Haha, anyways. Last thing we need is some random audience members to shower my genius with praise and/or verbal abuse, and I think I know just where to find some... No wait, that'd get me arrested for kidnapping again." Spindow shrugged as he tried to forget the rather unfortunate stint he had with a contract dispute he had when he solved that village's rat infestation a while back. Long story short Spindow wasn't allowed to go within 50 ft of a musical wind instrument but this is all beside the point.

"I better go with what's immediately available." Spindow concluded. "Now what do we have here... Some broad, robot girl, assorted knuckleheads, Sharon . . . !"

Spindow ran to the table to meet up with the ladies. "When did something as amazing and beautiful as you get into a place like this?" Spindow asked as he stared intensely at what could easily be the sweetest thing he ever saw, by his standards.

As Deguass commented on the growth of his so-called "son", something new grabbed the feline's attention. In the distance, a point of bright light appeared suddenly appeared from the falls and seemed to be coming his way, seemingly gliding through the air like a bird struggling to keep it's balance. His eyes remained fixated on the glowing object as it came closer and lower to the ground, until it finally touched down on the shore only meters away from him.

As the light faded, it revealed what appeared to be some sort of creature. Curious and concerned, Durock didn't hesitate to run over to check it out. As he did, he noted that whatever this thing was, it wasn't like anything he'd ever seen before. IT appeared to have a feminine humanoid form with a body that was whiter than a ghost's. Whatever she was she was battered, bruised and unconscious, having suffered through some kind of ordeal.

Durock called Deguass over for assistance. Perhaps he could actually be of use to him for once. "Hey, reptile-man. Get over here. I need your ass---

At about the same time he was looking Acheron over, something appeared on the surface of the water just off shore. It was dark and appeared to just be floating there. After a few moments of scrutinizing the object, didn't take him long to realize it was yet another creature.

The tiger rushed off the beach, running as fats as his feet would carry him and kicking up dirt as he went. Then he dove into the freezing cold waters and swam towards it. As he got closer who realize it wasn't a what but who. "Torvus?!" He called out in shock as he swam over the devil, but there was no response.

Without hesitating, we swam over to the marsupial and then carried him back to shore. When they were both back on the beach, Durock carefully laid the marsupial down next the Acheron. Like the woman, he was also battered and unconscious, but other than that.. he seemed alright?

"No.. That's wrong..." Durock thought aloud. "The only reason anybody would be here is if they died."

He looked over his unconscious partner's body and noted his condition more carefully. He was still in shock over the fact Torvus was even here to really feel any other emotions. "I never thought I'd see him again, but... what happened to him? Last I knew, before I was murdered... He was fine..."

Durock then stood up and turned his attention to Deguass. "I don't know who the girl is, but this devil over here is Torvus, he's my partner... I don't know what to do for them. Unless you have some ideas, all I can think of is wait for them to wake up."

Placia seemed flustered and confused by the sudden arrival and subsequent greeting of Spindow, she didn't respond. She wasn't quite certain how to greet the mass of... stuff, or if he was even talking to her. She assumed not.
For the time being, she seemed to shy away, currently unaware of how effective Zet's get together had proven, she was certainly no longer dwelling on things, and if anything was finding some comfort in her presence, though it didn't appear to be apparent yet.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

M1 on the other hand, seemed quite stuck. Namely on Betrice's bit of imparted wisdom, he still wasn't sure what it was he should do. Guilt, confusion and the onset of what seemed to be depression, M1 was steadily becoming more complex, though on any other occasion he'd remark with satisfaction, he felt no such thing.
"Alright..." M1 finally said, as if confirming something with himself. "I'll go talk to him... I... I want to be rid of these feelings." Betrice seemed to not be paying him any mind, though she reacted with a smile. With nothing to add, M1 began to preform a long range scan, casting a net several kilometers in diameter, he got a hit right away. It'd seem Rayd hadn't gone terribly far, well, not by M1's standards anyway. The moment he locked him in, he grabbed Betrice and took off, Betrice herself being taken completely by surprise.

"AH! What the h-... What are you doing?" She asked, trying to contain herself after what seemed to be a brief slip in character.

"This was your idea, I'm taking you with me." That was probably the best answer anyone would've gotten out of the great machine, he actually couldn't come up with a legitimate reason for his actions, other than feeling that leaving her alone was... wrong, somehow.

--------------------------------------------------------------------

Deguass said nothing, initially anyway, when Durock called him over, he indeed obliged, but the following moment the Tiger took off after something else, giving Deguass time to further scrutinize the heap of creature before him. It didn't take him long to realize she didn't belong here.
With that he cast a glance at Durock, who seemed to drag something else entirely to shore. "Another one?" Deguass remarked, however, Plas seemed to know this second creature. Referring to it as his partner and calling it by name. "Hmmm... And you say he was fine before you "Died"?" The question was rhetorical, he really didn't need an answer, and merely approached the unconscious Devil and gave him the once over as well, Deguass found himself grinning, and followed it up by slapping Durock on the back. "Hehe... This one too eh? Well this is very interesting." Noting the concern Durock seemed to be struggling with, the Architect felt it necessary to not leave him hanging. "Well, I'm not sure how, but these two here are definitely not dead."

((Well gentlemen. I've managed to find a song I like as Placia's theme.
[Reveal] Spoiler: View at your own risk.
I'm going to be honest here. If this song weren't so damn good, I'd want absolutely NOTHING to do with it.))

Zetsara, returning her attention to the table and taking another heaping spoonful of ice cream, now noticed Spindow. She didn't say anything, choosing to watch the tar-colored, hominid-molded blob as he approached the table. She wasn't sure what to make of him, and was far more concerned with finishing the frozen treat in front of her to really care. She couldn't tell if his attention was focused on Sharon...or her ice cream. At that point, the rate of her ice cream intake began to climb ever so slightly.

---

Rayd was laying about on the rock still, lost in thought as he looked up at the nebula blanketing most of the sky. That is, until he started hearing something approaching. His ears picked up the hum of something flying, and it was getting closer.

((Yeah...not much to write at the moment lol...))

Durock grunted and nearly tumbled on top of his partners body as Deguass suddenly and unexpectedly gave him a seemingly friendly and playful slap on his furry back. It was probably the last thing he would have ever expected Deguass to do, but then he reminded himself that this was NOT the AI from the coliseum, and they weren't at odds with one another.

"That's real funny." The cat mumbled sarcastically. In all honestly if he'd been watching it happen to somebody else at a less serious time. It probably would have been. Then Deguass made a comment on Torvus and the strange creature that were laying at their feet. The comment itself surprised the feline and left him feeling confused.
"Well, I'm not sure how, but these two here are definitely not dead."

"Not dead?" The tiger responded, sounding like he was unsure on whether he should believe Deguass or not. From appearances, Torvus and this woman seemed to be just like him and Deguass, by that he meant aethereal and well deceased. Was there something Deguass knew that he didn't? It stood to reason he could considering How long he'd been deceased had been deceased. Which left Durock feeling like he really argue a case because he was new to the afterlife.

Then a thought crossed his mind as he remembered what happened when he first arrived. He tried to crossover to either side of the river, but was unable to for some reason. Even now, when he went to rescue Torvus from the freezing waters of the Acheron he noted that he was unable to grow any closer to the shore that was closest to this side of the island. It continued to elude him and continued getting farther as he approached.

After a few moments of being wrapped up in his thoughts he turns Deguass and looked the reptilian, gazing right into his teal eyes.

"Deguass... I have a question for you. So please no snark. Just give me honesty." Durock said with a sigh, his growly voice heavy with reluctance. It had nothing to do with his feelings toward, Deguass, not that he really felt anything besides neutrality and some minor irritation for the spirit. It had more to do with that fact that he wasn't overly fond of seeking the guidance or advice of others in the first place.

"Now, I haven't been here as long as you have. So as much as I figure me admitting this will boost your ego, I concede that you probably know a thing or two or more about these kind of things than I do. So now I'm just going to get to the point. You say these two aren't actually dead. So then what about me? If I was actually dead I wouldn't be here would I? I would have been able to cross to one of the other shores right? Ever since I came here I haven't been able to reach either.

I think you know what I'm trying to say here. "I'm just like them, aren't I? I'm not actually dead? Just for whatever reason you and Githrick decided to left me to think otherwise up until now?"

He stopped to look at Torvus and Acheron then turned back to Deguass.

"Even if you do respond to my question, how can I be sure you're telling the truth not just trying to manipulate me? You're probably the only person I can count on..."

<"At least until Torvus wakes up.">

Deguass would be able to tell from Durock's tone of voice that the last confession was done so begrudgingly. he'd probably also be able to figure out the thought that went through the feline's mind when he cut off thanks to his body language. Considering Durock did take quick glance at Torvus out of the corner of his eye.

((Yes.. Durock, Torvus and Acheron were all swimming in the Acheron))

"Heh." Deguass found himself sniggering, at least the feline was honest. "Well, from the amount of pride you seemed to swallow just now, I can gather you're sincere. You aren't dead either Mr. Durock. However, you were certainly close, and that at least distinguishes them from you." Deguass seemed to think briefly, there was a melancholy about him, regret. "I didn't say anything to you because honestly... When you arrived you could've gone either way, I wasn't going to make a call unless I was certain. And then you had that scuffle with the giant whiner. "

Deguass had been sitting in purgatory for long time, he had free reign to travel between heaven or hell, but wasn't allowed to stay on the shores of either, knowing neither comfort nor the retribution for his actions that he himself would've preferred to impose. For him, Purgatory was worse than either. He sighed, and felt like telling story, perhaps impart knowledge on the cat. He did have over a century of experience under his belt, and it wasn't as though he'd be receiving company again anytime soon. Gazing out onto the serene waters that seemed to feed into eternity, Deguass found himself reminiscing. "You know, a long time ago I was actually quite satisfied with my life, I had the only friends in the world I'd ever need and the idealized glory of fighting at their side. I was stupid, believed hat those days wouldn't end, but I realized the horrible truth of my existence, I was a tool, and when I tried to take my fate back, my friends paid a terrible price."

"If I had the chance to, I'd leave this place... Try to make things right." With another sigh he forced a chuckle out of his throat. "I regret far too much to stay in a place like this."

Zetsara was right to be suspicious of Spindow's target interest as a long sinewy rope slang from Spindow's maw and attached itself to her spoon, ripping it from her grip. "Say lady, how about you go easy on the soft serve and leave some for the rest of us?" He asked with an irksome sneer. "Judging by the Chocolate sauce dripping from your earlobes I think it's time to step away from the bowl."

His words came off almost challengingly for some reason. Perhaps he was still wanting for a match, perhaps he really thought that Zetsara needed to stop stuffing her face full of frozen treats. What was clear though was that he had time to kill waiting for Cappy to wake up and picking a fight was the easiest solution to gapping the distance between point A and B.

((BATTLE OF THE THINLY SPARSED UPDATES))

--

"Sorry I'm late, I had some business with Grave again."

Acheron slipped through the door of the main chamber of the Castle. It was quite evident that everyone had been waiting on her, which made the Admiral's remarks all the more stinging as he continued to go over some documents regarding the situation they were called for. "It's good to see you could make time to fit your duties in with all your studies Acheron." He stated dryly without rising his eyes off the paper. "Take a seat." Acheron swore under her breath for her faux pas and quickly followed orders. After taking a quick head count she saw that including herself all six board members were present accounted for.

To her right sat Arc Charter and Coir Laoch, both accomplished warriors and heroes to the Esseeds they watched over. Although both aligned in the same goals, their differences couldn't be more numerous. Without much experience being the last to join the crusade Arc preferred to operate from afar using exemplary marksmanship and omnivision, spotting his opponents most likely course of action and firing on them before they have the chance to act. Coir on the otherhand used his long years of experience and pure grit to face his foes head on, dealing swift sentences upon evil as they lie frozen in time to the righteous fury of his double-headed axe Justice. Their mannerisms also shined a great deal of contrast too, while Arc was a man of few cynical words, Coir spoke with bravado and great length; almost to an infectious degree.

To her left was Kit Livia, the head of Intel, and Serena Brahms, the overseer and second in command. Acheron hardly knew the two aside from one or two brief chats, but what she gathered was more then enough to avoid them. Kit was a nice enough girl, but she tended to be a bit of a tattletale, trying to confide in her was the equivalent of draping a huge target over yourself and walking into an archery field. To make matters worse, she had recently taken up creating a small army of birds to gather and relay information. While Arc's ability to see everything was one thing, these birds or "Carriers" as she dubbed them capture copies of discussions and thoughts from great distances. That little feature led Acheron to knocking any of the llittle rats out of the sky the second she felt they'd overstayed their welcome, much to Kit's chagrin she was sure, and probably Serena's as well, given her position of power. Unlike most everyone else Serena has probably done little to know fieldwork, opting instead to a cushy job of co-ordination. While Acheron was thankful that she at least did her job of managing their fairly large roster's abilities and day to day actions, her elitist demeanor left a bitter taste in her mouth. At least their relationship is far better then her sister's. Since nearly day one Bella and Serena have been at odds with each other, to the point that simply knowing that the other will be at any event or location is enough reason to not go. Their rivalry is overall harmless though, so Acheron keeps out of the way of their frequent spats.

Finally heading the board was the Admiral Zeno Narkoun. Zeno was best described as... Plain. His philosophy in life was to remain firm in your resolution and never allow your stance to be altered, something almost paradoxical to their kind's nature of changing form with the experiences and surrounding they encounter. It was noteworthy then that the Admiral has avoided any form of modifications whatsoever up to now, making him seem far more like the citizens they rule over then a soon to be lord of all reality. This however belies his raw strength and speed, leading many to believe that perhaps that he simply doesn't need any sort of advantage to accomplish his goals, which is namely the conquering of every frontier in the world. It is for that goal that this committee was called into being for. "Now that everyone is present, let's begin." Zeno announced. "Arc, please inform the board on the progress of our settlements. Is everything fine in the foreseeable future?

Arc leaned back in his chair and closed the lids of his disproportionately large eyes in contemplation. "Hmm... No, there doesn't seem to be anything out of the ordinary for now. The scouting and base parties probably won't be seeing anything anytime soon; Unless the chances of a monster attack start picking up they'll just be doing like they're doing now." Charter's Omnivision allowed him to see the any place at any time, but peering into the future was a tricky task to perform, with the prevalence of alternate time lines and infinite possibility, the best that he could do was make guesses based on the most common trends in the future, making him kinda like a temporal weatherman. Telling him that to his face though is the easiest way to tick him off though.

"Not a worry at all then!" Coir pounded an armored glove against the table with cheer. "I've trained those scouts into powerhouses of vigilance and virtue, any monster that tries to even so much as cast a shadow in the way of those men will have their arses knocked so far into their bodies that they'll have to grow extra arms just to get pick themselves off the ground!" Zeno likewise found the prediction to be pleasing. "Then we should have nothing to worry about. Now on to more pressing matters. The Wastelands. What has been the recent reports?"

"Unfortunately sir, every party we've sent to investigate has been wiped out." Kit reached down into her satchel and retrieved a notepad. opening the pages, she began detailing the events that had taken place. "Party of ten sent twelve days prior, initial observations describe severe lack of foliage and water, numerous remains of unknown creatures serve as only discernable landmarks, some bleached white, others still being actively scavenged. A thick layer of dust hindered vision near constantly. Party of ten attacked two days later by various 'beasts', minor casualty in battle. Party of Eight continues travelling deeper. Larger beast encountered suddenly next day... entire party is decimated."

"Powerhouses of Vigilance huh?" Arc remarked, getting a clearly spiteful response back from his target to shut his trap. "Perhaps we underestimate the power of the 'beasts' you've mentioned, they just need a little more back-up." Coir noted. "It was just a couple of foot soldiers after all."

Kit bit her lip at Coir's theory and cautiously flipped to the next page. "Second party of fifty sent nine days prior. Upon entry party was immediately attacked by same beast, entire party is decimated. Three days prior third party of a hundred, along with five copies of Lt. Iterat sent. Within neighboring region party was decimated by said creature."

"Wait. That thing killed a Mult?" Acheron stated in shock. "Mult should've been able to easily overwhelm whatever's out there!" Apparently though the odds weren't in his favor. "It didn't kill a Mult, it killed forty of him." Kit said sorrowfully. "He's currently in IC trying to cope with the backlash of being torn to shred countless times, as of now he has no copies active."

Everyone was beside themselves. None of them could even begin to imagine that such a creature was that powerful. It defied logic. But finally somebody spoke up. "Does anyone have any ideas on how to stop a monster like that?" Coir asked. "Because if you do by all means say something. I'm completely baffled." Arc shared those sentiments. "Even if attacked him with all our force, all we'd do is paint the ground gray. There really isn't anything we can do without giving somebody a death sentence."

"Actually, there might be something." Acheron mentioned. There was one possibility that could be viable, it was risky though even mentioning the details around it. "Grave's been working on an machine that can boost the power of essences tenfold. He claims it can even make you unkillable."

"Here's the thing Achy;" Serena quipped in, releasing a small groan of irritation from Acheron at the sound of her abbreviation. "I don't know what might make you think otherwise, but Grave is a crackpot." Serena quipped in. "He's a mad scientist who turns all the Esseeds under his command into freaks of nature or flat out kills them in the name of 'scientific progress'. Why should we listen to anything he says let alone use his creations?" Acheron couldn't deny Grave's... eccentricities, but for all the bad he's done there was still a lot of good he's also accomplished.

"He figured out our endgame didn't he?" Acheron refuted. "If he didn't realize that we're preparing to ascend to the reigns of the universe then where would we be now? If he could solve our reason to exist, surely he could solve the puzzle of death as well? Just give him a chance." She pleaded. Most of the the other members had already tuned out the proposal, however the Admiral seemed to be more calculative in his decision. Standing up from his seat Zeno turned away from the the group to peer out of the window, arms crossed behind his back. It was a stance he often took when he was weighing the options he had before him. "Do you know whether or not it works to begin with Acheron?"

"As far as it's been tested on individual essences, yes."

"Very well. If you can provide ample proof that it will be safe to use, It'll will be put to deliberation. Make sure that nothing goes wrong."

...

Acheron came back too with a heavy rasp as spat out a mouthful of sand that had found its way into her throat when she crash landed. Her body was still terribly sore, and the rest had done nothing to replenish her energy, but at least she hadn't been ejected from this world just yet. Taking a groggy look around, she noted that she had been surrounded prior to her resuscitation, One of which she didn't recognize, but one of which she did.

"Is your name... Durock? she asked weakly.

"Sp--Spindow?!" Sharon was dazed, confused, confounded. Of all the places to run into him, HERE. "What--" And then he proceeded to steal the spoon from Zets and eat the ice cream. "...Still the same old black blob of goo as ever, I see. Not that I expected you to refer to me as amazing and beautiful at all."

She then looked over at the petrified couch over by the wall, occupied by one unconscious blue...Kirby-like thing. "I recognize that couch...You're planning on interviewing that puffball that's out cold on it when it wakes up, aren't ya? I see you haven't given up on it yet...If one good thing can be said about you, it's that you're quite the persistent blob. Why are you even here, anyway?"

Zetsara's eyes narrowed, and she easily yanked her spoon back from the blob's grip...though this possibly flung it's contents in Kaz' general area. "Hey, here's an idea, ass. Order yer own." She complained, "this is ours."

Honestly, she probably would have shared had he just asked because there was indeed plenty to go around, but he was being completely rude. She looked over towards Sharon for a moment with an expression that clearly stated 'what the hell?'.

"Teach yer friend some manners, yeah?"

"Trust me, I've tried. Doesn't work. 'Bout as thick in the head as the stuff he's made out of." Sharon shrugged. "Also, you should probably wash your hands and find a different spoon before digging back in, unless you're immune to diseases or something. Because this guy here, who knows what kinda crap he's been into...Or made out of."

She then turned back to Spindow. "I know this ain't gonna work in the long run, but...next time, why don't you try asking? It'll get you a lot farther, and things won't get broken out-of-hand..." Yeah, fat chance, the guy lives for causing as much damage and annoyance as possible. Why do I even bother...

((Wow, two posts in one night! I must be on a roll. Or maybe everyone else is, I dunno.))

((He's fine, Cappy's invincible. And really to put things in perspective Spindow doesn't really come off as the kind of guy who would think to use medical facilities for anything other then medical waste. Unless somebody takes a good look at him or he wakes up it'd be hard to tell exactly how badly Cappy's injuries really are. HINT HINT.))

Zetsara might have been able to grab her spoon back from Spindow, but it could hardly be said to be returned to its rightful owner. Much like taffy the strands of goo originally tethered to the silverware had been pulled along for the ride, creating a long strand of blank rope extending from Spindow's mouth to Zetsara's hand. the lady obviously contested the scenario. "Hey, here's an idea, ass. Order yer own." She complained, "this is ours." Spindow was quick to rebute though. "Better idea, get off yours. You've been sitting here since I left and blocking the counter." Zetsara would notice the soft tugging feeling of Spindow's attempt to reel the spoon out of her hand in a ploy to egg her on, leading her to look for assistance in the form of the only person who seems to actually know him. "Teach yer friend some manners, yeah?" Unfortunately, Sharon could only shrug. "Trust me, I've tried. Doesn't work. 'Bout as thick in the head as the stuff he's made out of."

"I take offense to that!" Spindow growled without letting up on his game of tug-of-war. In spite of the well founded odds of success Sharon tried to reason with Spindow to try being nicer. "I know this ain't gonna work in the long run, but...next time, why don't you try asking? It'll get you a lot farther, and things won't get broken out-of-hand..."

"Try... Asking? But where's the fun in that?" Spindow asked. "Yeah, I suppose I could ask next time. But really I don't see why I should bother." With Ms. Buzzkill putting an end to the excitement of their game, Spindow cut his side of the elastic slime cord and sent it spattering into Zetsara's face. "So, why are you even here anyways?" He asked Sharon. "I never took you for one who did the fighty thing, like, ever... Have you been holding out on me?"

((Spindow, what an ass hahaha. You play his personality well, Spindow. XD ))

"Better idea, get off yours. You've been sitting here since I left and blocking the counter."

Zetsara looked at the blob with a rather deadpan expression after the last comment. Considering they were in the middle of the room, and he would have actually had to go out of the way of the counter to make it to their table. This left her with two things to question - his ability to insult someone, or his intelligence altogether. Zets herself wasn't exactly the sharpest tool in the shed, but she wasn't a hammerhead either.

"Sure, maybe after ya purposely walked aaaaall the way out here, avoidin' the counter entirely," Zets spat, rolling her eyes when she drew out the 'all.' She cringed at the sight of her spoon and the gooey substance on the handle that most certainly wasn't chocolate. She backed her head away after catching a whiff. "Ugh, what is that...? What did ya do, roll around in black powder?"

Zetsara, losing her appetite now rather rapidly, tossed the spoon in Spindow's direction. "Here, you can have -"

Splat.

Spindow had cut loose his tendrils of goo that were bonded to the spoon just before the utensil had left Zetsara's now slimy hand, and the goop spattered all over her face. She froze in place, more or less, her face not really showing any emotion whatsoever.

"So, why are you even here anyways?" He asked Sharon. "I never took you for one who did the fighty thing, like, ever... Have you been holding out on me?"

CRASH!

It all happened in an instant, without warning. Zetsara's right arm had scooped the table up entirely by one leg and slammed it, topside down along with the ice cream, upon Spindow. The table cracked and splintered on impact. She figured that this probably would not have hurt Spindow, whatever he was, but it certainly made her feel better.

"Enjoy your ice cream, douche." Zetsara stated with bite. Evidently it was impossible to have a calm moment to sit down without someone ruining it. She was quite eager to simply leave the scene...

Music for the mood

Durock quietly listened to all Deguass had to say to him while carefully watching his face. He didn't need the reptilian creature to answer his last question directly, the one about whether or not he was telling the truth., he could tell Deguass was being sincere by his tone of voice and the expression he made on his face. The noripathian's teal eyes looked to be filled with nostalgia, regret and weariness, possibly even loneliness.

Durock turned a way and turned his own gaze to the calm waters that shimmered in the eternal twilight. What Deguass said next confirmed the emotions he saw in the lizard-man's eyes.

Durock didn't say anything at first, just continued listening to Deguass thoughtfully, he began thinking about his own life and some regrets he had. He thought back to when he was a child, and the memories he'd kept in the far reaches of his mind came back to him.

He thought of the last time he ever saw his mother. He was too young and weak back then to protect her, he was nearly murdered trying. He later found out the tiger who rape her before his eyes her was his own father. Durock spent a long time looking for her in the hope of reuniting, but never found her. He never got to confront his father either.

Then there were the Pandas who found him barely alive at the the bottom of the ravine. They didn't raise him or teach him to hunt for survival, they couldn't, they're lifestyles were completely different Durock had to learn all that on his own. However, they did nurse him back to health and treated him like he was a member of their family.

He owed them his life, when he had grown to maturity and came into his powers, he swore that if they ever needed him he'd be there. When they had a daughter named Sanya, she was like a little sister to him. He promised them that if anything should ever happen to them, he would take care of her as if she were his own child. He felt he failed to keep his promises to them when they all died in the fire.

These were things he'd never be able to change. He half hoped that he'd run into them somewhere in the after life, but instead he found Githrick. He frowned and sighed.

As he came out of his train of thought, Deguass continued speaking along his own.

"If I had the chance to, I'd leave this place... Try to make things right." With another sigh he forced a chuckle out of his throat. "I regret far too much to stay in a place like this."

Durock realized that when he was done healing, he would probably be leaving this place. No doubt the infirmary staff had been working around the clock to heal his body and keep it alive. With the coliseums magic and tech, it was probably fully healed by now.

He'd be returning to the coliseum, he felt that the most important thing to do when he returned was to try to make a amends. Zetsara, Percy and M1 specifically. Then there was Placia, the last person he saw before the Batamon tried to murder him. She was probably in distress over what had happened. He needed to make sure she was okay.

He had a chance to try fix things and make sure he had no regrets, a luxury Deguass would never get...

"Deguass.... he said, turning back to the Noripathian. "Thanks for being honest with me. Honesty is something I consider very important, so for what it's worth, you've earned some my respect... I guess when I'm done healing, I'll be leaving you alone here won't I? I can't take you back with me, but in return for your sincerity, maybe I can do a favor for you?"

He paused and became silent for a moment or two while he thought of what to say next. It gave Deguass a chance to think too.

"As far as I know, M1 is fine. Your legacy lives on in him as well as in a hologram of you that he created from his memories." He knew that latter statement would reveal his 'little secret' regarding his familiarity with Deguass. The revelation would would probably make the spirit smirk a bit.

"Anyway Deguass, if you have any last request for them, I could try take those two aside and tell them your wishes."

Durock became quiet and listened intently as he waited for a response from the Noripathian spirit. However, before he got a chance to whwther or not Deguass had anything to say, a feminine voice came from beneath them.

"Is your name... Durock? She question, her voice tired and weak from exhaustion.

Durock stared at her, taken aback by the fact that she asked who he was by name as if she'd been searching for him or something.

"Y-yes.. That's my name" he said. "I'm Durock, but who are you? How did you... and he, if he was with you" He said pointing to Torvus. "Torvus get to purgatory and the Acheron?"

About Me: A little over the top, you know?
Within a blink of an eye, Zetsara had smashed the table over the poorly mannered sludge, knocking him to the ground and embedding enough splinters in Spindow's plasm to start up a giant toothpick shop before storming off. "urrgh... good swing." he thought as he pulled one of the leg pieces out of his eye. Dislodging the wood was a trivial process, all it took was giving the order to release the grip his body had when he was wrestling for the spoon. If any of his cells couldn't get that signal though they'd remain as is until they were told otherwise. Of course that never could happen unless they were separated from his main body by some level of distance or interference.

That reminded Spindow, he'll have to make a note to retrieve the slime he left in the Artic arena at some point. It'd be a huge exercise in frustration to dislodge it from the room for anyone but him.

---

"Purgatory? How quaint." Acheron thought to herself. It was While she had never actually been to the place it did have a feeling of familiarity now that she thought about it. Such thoughts didn't last long however as a shockwave of pain shot up her side, reminding her of the slowly whittling time that was remaining for her. Without any source of intake for this long she was already running on fumes, but now with these injuries she wasn't going to be able to safely last anymore then a few minutes at best if she couldn't eat immediately.

"My name is also Acheron, I've come from The Coliseum to ascertain the cause of your incapacitation. Along with Torvus, we entered your dream and eventually found our way here." Acheron took a moment to rest between sentences as she tried to regain some composure. "Unfortunately, we've been injured and greatly strained from the duress of the journey. Torvus has even lost some of his sanity in the process, much to my distress actually. I've done everything in my power to safely handle the situation, but it's beyond me in my current state."

Acheron regained her footing and walked over to the still incapcitated tazmanian. "If he's left in the state he's in his mental state will be carried over to his real body. If that were to happen the danger he poses to everyone around him would be catastrophic. There's only one thing I can do to prevent this." The thought sent shivers down her spine. With no energy left to stabilize his psychosis, let alone extract it, she'd have to do the one thing she swore to never allow. "I'm going to have to eat him." she quietly commented remorsefully.

"I'm going to have to eat him."

Durock had listened to everything Archeron had to say intently, but when he heard that line, his ears flattened and his his demeanor changed in an instant. He didn't hesitate to extend his claws and bare his fangs.

"Move away from Torvus now, or I'll eviscerate you and then scorch you like I did that giant husk over there." He said, spewing flames and smoke as he enunciated. His tail tip was pointing towards Githrick's dissolving corpse in the background.

"If you die here, your real bodies die and you cease to exist. This is purgatory! I assure you, it is NOT a part of my dreams!" He exclaimed, matter-of-factually.

"I'm sure my green pal here wouldn't mind confirming this."

He didn't know how they entered his dreams, or how doing so led them here to the after life. But once she threatened his mate's existence, he didn't care about her plight.

She'd have to find some other way to find sustenance, because if she made one move towards Torvus, he'd kill her before she could blink.

About Me: A little over the top, you know?
At Durocks threat Acheron turned away from the still sleeping devil. The posture and intimidation failed to suit their purpose, but his words did as something finally clicked in her mind. Something Torvus had mentioned far in the outset.

"Their souls remained trapped until their body was ready, or some trial or obstacle was completed..." Acheron paraphrased. "Durock, could you tell me when and how long you've been here? I'm sorry to say I may have severely misjudged my surroundings." She apologized. "In that regard, Can your friend over there also relate some of the aspects of Purgatory? Clearly I have no idea what's going on anymore."

"Honestly I see little difference between the two."

Sharon sighed and put palm to forehead as Zets flipped the table onto Spindow, breaking it and leaving a lot of splinters lying around in the process. "Here I was, trying to get to know some people around here, and you come and ruin it...And some perfectly good ice cream went to waste, too! Poor girl's probably scared to death after all that..." Her tone of voice was more than a little irritated. "Ugh...What a mess." She began picking up the larger pieces that remained (though where she'd have to put them, she didn't know), then turned to Placia. "Sorry about my...friend's behavior," she said in a calmer tone, though the emphasis she put on the word friend hinted at the possibility that perhaps he wasn't really her friend.

"Perhaps I can make it up to you later? My conscience wouldn't let this go without making up to you, especially if you were trying to enjoy yourself after some bad thing happened, you know..."

((Hooray post. Stuff. Nachos.))

Cappy lied quietly on the seat that Spindow had placed him on. His body was still cold as he had contracted hypothermia in his battle with the tar-colored blob. To make matters worse, it seemed no one had noticed nor really cared about the condition Cappy was in. He would most likely stay unconscious and frozen until someone actually knew to get him to the infirmary. Though he wasn't dead yet, he was already cold and motionless. If something was not done, he would surely die. Truely, this was a sad moment for him. Perhaps this was the perfect example of how meaningless his life seemed.

((I'm still trying to come up with Pyro Cappy's next move. It's really difficult to think of a move that has to be made when Zeke's spear is mere inches away from Pyro's face.))
