Kirby's Rainbow Resort

I don't quite know if this has been done already, but whatever, here goes.

As title says, which is, for you, the best plot in a Kirby game? And the worst?

I think The Amazing Mirror has the most elaborate plot to date
And Squeak Squad is actually pretty lacking in this sense

What do you think, guys?

Kirby games have plot? /shot

In terms of making sense with the universe, KA/NiD is my choice. In terms of only personal preference, I enjoyed Revenge of the King and Revenge of Meta Knight. It gave a lot of insight into both characters' personalities and their relationships with their minions, and I'm a sucker for character development...

Worst plot would be Great Cave Offensive. The treasure-collecting was addictive but the plot was just nonexistent, making it the worst, imo.

The best plot for me was MilkyWay Wishes in KSSU/KSS.
When Marx betrayed Kirby i was like wwooooowww did not see that coming,.
I was pretty sad when Kirby destroyed Nova. it was just following instuctions (remind you of anything...)

The worst yet funiest nd cutest plot was KSqSq. Rampaging all of Dreamland for Cake. Hilarious.
Fighting the ruler of the underworld (Dark Nebula) awesome but it could have been done better. Alot better.
Coming out of the blue and saying this chest chest contains the ruler of the underworld is not my idea of a plot. More like a plot hole.
I think the just wanted to fill the gap of the final boss.

The fact that Dark Nebula was Zero in Japan only makes it more confusing. :/ How did Zero get inside a box? Does his Japanese character just like boxes or something?

I knew exactly what was coming with Marx b/c everybody spoils it. .-. I don't think you can find a single picture of him on dA that doesn't mention his Soul Form, or a story on FFN that doesn't basically say MARX WAS EVIL in the summary. Though I did see the final boss of RtD coming from a mile away w/o spoilers.

I didn't like Squeak Squads plot either, being a fan of King Dedede...there was no real good reason to go to his castle and beat him up because Kirby assumed he had the strawberry cake, so I felt bad for Dedede there.

For this next plot thing, I am not going to name a certain game, I am just going to say that by Epic Yarn, I got really tired of the "This evil guy/being comes to town and possesses every body, and Kirby has to beat the snot out of everybody just to get them back to their senses" plot, it mostly ruins chances of some of the possessed characters (King Dedede for one) to be playable, only Kirby 64 changed that with Kirby riding on Dedede's back.

My favorite for plot (I know this is contradicting but hear me out), is Kirby 64. I loved the cutscenes, especially with no dialogue, they were fun to watch, and also interesting to watch as the story went on. Made me feel compelled to bring the true bad guy to justice, Zero 2.

It's indeterminate. He most certainly could be related to the Dark Matters, but there's no official word explaining his origin.

His name, possession ability, and his being a cyclops does strongly imply that he is indeed a type of Dark Matter, but I really doubt he's Zero himself. Unlike Zero Two, there's far too little similarities between Zero and Dark Nebula.

Kirby: Cosmic Chaos

Yeah were all going to say Squeak Squad has the worst plot so let me just defend the poor game for pete's sake. Sure it was short but hey, we got Ice Bomb, Ice Sword, Fire Sword, Thunder Sword AND Thunder Bomb. Not to mention Tornado power was awesome *cough*thebest*couch* in the game. Right? But I must admit it was pretty suckish.

My favorite plots are ones that haven't been used in some shape or form already. SO... I say 64 and Amazing Mirror. Hooray for me.

No to be perfectly frank Squeak Squad was a rather mediocre romp of nothing that was new to it aside from the shoehorned-in touch screen gimmick and the Squeaks were annoying as hell because they kept showing up and you had to fight one of the same three minibosses in every freakin' level. The power combination mechanic was also not nearly integrated enough to matter at all. I'm honestly glad that it was so short.

Anyway uhhh Kirby games. Plots. Psssssh (actually it's Super Star Ultra's Revenge of the King because KING DEDEDE IS THE BEST KIRBY CHARACTER)

Was its plot so incomprehensible that nobody could tell whether it was good or bad?

Best plot was........I guess Return to Dreamland. I sort of predicted ahead of time that Magolor was the real bad guy, but the bit about the Lor and such was fun. Also Kirby 64.

Worst plot......would have to be Squeak Squad. Although the thought of Kirby smashing most of Dreamland for CAKE was funny, and the Copy mixing was the most awesome thing since 64, (By now you should know that I LOVED Kirby 64.) It just didn't click for me. That, and Daroach was so hard to beat sometimes....(I was, like, 11 or something.)

Best plot: KRTDL and Milky Way wishes and ROMK from KSS.

Worst: Great cave offensive (plot: kirby falls down a hole).

I agree that Squeak Squad had by far the worst plot. I never played Amazing mirror, so I would have to say that the Dark Matter Trilogy had some of the best plots. I also enjoyed the ideas behind Canvas Curse and Epic Yarn.
