You are five years old you do not know what you are talking about.
Yeah, the graphics by today's standards aren't that stellar, but that kind of thing was revolutionary during its release date.
Gameplay isn't all far different from paper Mario which I already adore which I can leave to itself.
Its music still remains to be really good, and you probably don't have a decent taste in music and might probably be listening to far too much dubstep for your own good.
Characters and story were charming, but I can't say that much since I haven't played through in a long while.

Little ones these days don't appreciate the fact that games like SMRPG were the building blocks and were very vital to today's games.

EDIT: Also take consideration into SNES's limitations with graphics and audio. I'm sure the graphics and audio were intended to be far better than they originally are viewed upon as in the actual game.
Refer to the actual Rhythm Tengoku OST compared to how the music sounds while playing the game.

First of all, I'm not 5 years old. When I look at megaman 2, or megamanx, I see graphics better than super mario rpg. Why? Because they actually look good and aren't all blurry and ugly. Know why they don't look blurry and ugly? Because they worked fine on the snes system. So, if the graphics were good before they were in the game, then it's nintendo's fault since they failed to realize the limitations of a snes.
Second of all, I don't want to live in a world where a deformed frog and a talking puppet are considered "charming".

The game was too painfull to be played through fully.
Anyway I got to the part where you find that dumb thief that steals dumb mallows dumb money, which has nothing to do with the actual main villain. I lost, and I had no motivation to continue playing because the story-line was that stupid. Seriously, why would the player care about that? come on, nintendo.


You can deny it all you want, but super mario rpg is the squeak squad of mario rpgs.

I admit the gameplay was fun at times but other than that blah.

No, seriously, I hate it because of it's crappy storyline (I never completed it maybe but the start of the storyline was so terrible I didn't want to finish it) So why is hating and rpg for a bad storyline a stupid reason?! The story is one of the most important elements of an rpg! And the graphics, blah! They looked blurry and made the actual game boring! The main villains name is smithy,blah, wow smithy that's such a threatening name omg smithy I'm so scared, and it's not just the villian's name but the actual villain was stupid, oh wow omg a giant sword with a skull on top that's SO cool awesome yeah! No. The only good thing I can see in that game is..the gameplay. And even that wasn't enough to make the actaul game good.
So, if you going to tell me that any of the things mentioned in that is good and not bad, then GIVE EXAMPLES OF WHY. Thank you.

Bowser isn't threatening. He's part of the generic "HeRo SaVe PriNcEss" kind of game, which pretty much makes up almost the whole mario series.
