Kirby's Rainbow Resort

I've had these around for a while now but I only just thought to make a thread for them on KRR.

So, a little over a year ago there was this "contest" on another forum that required people to make a game in RPG Maker 2003 using only the default RTP. I entered it and over the span of about two days I created ADVENTURE GAME. You might remember it from this thread a while back when AGGRON did a Let's Play of it!

After I finished the game I realized that I was having fun making intentionally awful games in RPG Maker 2003, so I started up on ADVENTURE GAME 2: EXTRANEOUS SUBTITLE. Over two months or so I worked on it, and eventually I released it in late November of last year. It's at least two times longer than the first game and features such amazing and innovative developments such as an overworld!

Now, however, I am working on not one, but two new entries to the ADVENTURE GAME series! Or rather one new entry and one rerelease with a few added bonuses. First and most importantly is ADVENTURE GAME 3: QUEST OF THE JOURNEY! It will be at least three times longer than the first game and will feature amazing new things like a boat and secret party members! Currently it's still in development but there is a demo of the first twenty or so minutes of the game for your playing pleasures.

The other game is ADVENTURE GAME II: FINAL MIX, which is an updated rerelease of the second game. It will include new cutscenes to bridge the gap between ADVENTURE GAME 2 and ADVENTURE GAME 3, as well as more areas to explore and new bosses to serve as an added challenge for experienced players. This one will likely come out before ADVENTURE GAME 3 but that's probably for the best!

I've really been meaning to play these games at soon. From what Mamthew's told me about it, it sounds absolutely fantastic.

It was originally spawned from the KWRPG forums so in a way it does! The way that there's a third game that's been in development for longer than the first two combined is also similar to KWRPG.

But this isn't about KWRPG it's about ADVENTURE GAME!!

Seems kinda similar to people posting in the thread of a certain game and not giving any input on the game or playing it, or really paying any attention to it at all.

(Gosh I need to replay these games. I stopped playing like halfway through the second one, but the S*P*A*R*K*L*E vampires were amazing).

ADVENTURE GAME II: Final Mix. And here's one with the RTP, for those of you who don't have it.

And what sort of new features can you expect from this? Here's a helpful list!!

• Trading Sequence that gets you a new ULTIMATE WEPON!!!
• One big new dungeon!! And two small ones (sort of)!!!
• A new challenge in Ninjatown!!!
• Additional sidequests!!!
• Special items that grant you new powers!!!

I hope you enjoy playing it and finding the new things! If you're having trouble finding what's new, here's a PROTIP: talk to every NPC you see. Also let me know if you spot any weird bugs or anything, I'm pretty sure I already found most of them but I wouldn't be surprised if there were some others.

Hey everyone. I thought I'd drop in and let you know that ADVENTURE GAME 3 development has been chugging along at a decent pace. In fact, I'm almost halfway done with the game! There's still a lot more to do, but at the very least I thought I could show a few screenshots.


This image is from the very beginning of the game. If you played the demo you've already seen this scene!


This wasn't in the demo, though. Save points make an appearance in the ADVENTURE GAME series for the first time!


Here's the signpost just outside of the main character's hometown. Naturally these helpful signs are scattered around the world map to point you in the right direction. After all, this is an RPG Maker game and we've got to keep it as linear as possible!


Later in the game you get to attend a big tournament! What sort of surprises await you here?


After a while, your party gains more than four characters, but you can still only fight with a party of four. Never fear, though-- you have the ability to teleport to this relaxing lounge where your inactive party members will wait! You can switch characters in and out on the fly this way.

There's more I'd like to show but I won't because I don't want to give too much away. If all goes well ADVENTURE GAME 3 should be done sometime in July, but I'm not making any promises. In the meantime, keep an eye out for the upcoming ADVENTURE GAME series website!
