-Basics-Name: Windy Rat, surname then given name. Mainly goes by Rat, or Rat Kirby/RK when appropriate.
Gender: Female
Age: Early 20s
Species: Nearian; can transform into a puffball at will in the Kirbyverse.
Occupation: Unemployed; wanderer/adventurer
Alliance: Chaotic Good
Homeland: Somewhere Far-off, Near, Someplace. That is, she's from a type of village called a Far-off, which is named Somewhere, located on the continent of Near, on the planet of Someplace.
-Descriptions-Personality: Easygoing, helpful, and adventurous, Rat enjoys traveling all over creation by herself or with friends, and has done so many a time. She will often jump to a friend's aid, or just people who look like they need help, and often ends up meddling in the affairs of others, for better or worse. She's not one to hold a grudge, but gets deeply angry if somebody messes with those she cares about.
Appearance: Like all Nearians, she looks pretty much like a human on the outside, aside from a lack of external ears, since Nearians hear through their skin. She stands at 5'4" with an average build, weighing around 115 pounds. Has very lightly tanned skin, medium-light brown eyes, and unkempt golden-blonde hair that goes to the middle of her back. Pictured

Typical Clothing: Rat's usual outfit consists of a black short-sleeved shirt and long brown work/traveling pants made of a material comparable to corduroy, long enough to cover her ankles. Her shoes are well-worn ankle-high slip-on yellow sneakers, each with a black five-pointed star on the side facing outward.
Accents: She's speaking native Nearian, but since this is a multiversial setting, everyone can understand everybody else, anyway. She tends to clip off her -ing Gs and run words together, and her speech is a tad rural at times, basically talking like many young people would, and often sounds less serious as a result, even when she's trying to be.
Typical Emotions: Rat is a fairly relaxed and optimistic person, and even has a sense of humor. She can be tense or overly reactionary if things go south, though.
-Stats-Strength: Fit enough for someone her age and size; as a Nearian, she can use her energy to increase her strength and other abilities over brief periods of time, making this variable depending on how much she exerts herself. Her puffball self doesn't use energy in the same fashion, and though strong enough in her own right, Rat Kirby's regular self is a little lacking in the brute strength department.
Stamina: Rat has a pretty stout constitution, but has a bad habit of continuing to push herself even after she should have stayed down. Nearians under the age of 16 have incredibly fast healing, but since she has come of age, this does not apply to her. Rat Kirby, as an imperfect attempt to imitate Kirby himself, has incredible stamina when compared to most living things, able to resist extreme temperatures better than her Nearian version, hold her breath for long periods of time, and bounce back from injuries faster, though she is not quite as resilient as Kirby himself.
Intelligence: Nearians have great learning ability and the power to increase their mental activity by diverting their energy to their brains. Rat herself is of average intelligence, knowing what she knows, and knowing there are things she doesn't know.
Wisdom: Moreso than intelligence, Rat relies on life experiences, what she's done rather than what she's studied. She tends to reason things out simply, or break down complicated things to their basic points, or at least as best as she can understand it. There are times when she has to stop and think things through, but overall she's more heart than head.
Agility: A fit and active Nearian at the start of her life's prime with fighting experience, Rat can be quite fast on her feet when she wants to be, and can increase her speed and reaction time through the same species-specific energy-diverting method mentioned above. Rat Kirby is naturally fast, and uses her small size to her advantage when dodging attacks from foes large and small. Having short feet means she has to take more steps, but she runs faster with less effort as a puffball.
Magic: None at present.
-Combat and Travel-Abilities:-Energy Diversion: An ability all adult Nearians gain upon reaching age 16, when their powerful inner energy is unlocked for free use. Mostly used for scholarly and scientific advancements on modern Near, in the past it was utilized by many for more physical purposes, mainly combat. Rat can control her life energy to make herself, move, act, fight, and think better, depending on where and how hard she concentrates it; the more often she uses it, though, the faster she tires out. Every Nearian's energy, if made visible outside the body by some means, has its own color; Rat's is a bright whitish-green. In puffball form, she can't use her energy in quite the same fashion; rather than using it to increase physical or mental power, Rat Kirby just relegates her energy usage into the skills listed below.
-Wind Rend: Rat's basic special attack. She does a long, quick sword slash sword up, down, sideways, or at various other angles to produce a single sword wave-style attack from her blade after concentrating some of her energy into it. It has some cutting power and considerable speed, hence the name. In Nearian form, she uses her sword to produce it; as a puffball, she uses either her hands or her sword, though it's more powerful and only has its sharp cutting edge when generated from the sword.
-Double Rend: Wind Rend done twice in quick succession to produce a cross-shaped attack; faster and stronger than a single Rend.
-Treble Rend: Wind Rend done thrice in the shape of an asterisk; the fastest of the basic Rends. Unlike the single Rend, Rat Kirby also does this with only the sword; this applies for the others below, as well.
-Cross Rend: A variation on Double Rend, where first a Wind Rend is sent off, followed by another singular Rend, which catches up with the first and gives the attack a sudden burst of speed and power. Rat might use it if she thinks a Wind Rend she just did might not be enough, or if she's trying for the element of surprise.
-Focus Rend: A different attack that isn't as fast as the other Rends, but is many times more powerful. Rat concentrates energy into her blade, until the collected power gives it a bright orange glow, then she fires off a single attack that has more concussive force than cutting strength.
-Inhale: Rat Kirby only. Like many puffballs, she can powerfully inhale for long periods of time, suck up things living or otherwise, and swallow to eat them, store them inside herself (with limited space), spit them back out to attack, or copy their abilities.
-Slide: A basic kick attack by sliding across the ground a short-to-medium distance. Almost exclusively used in puffball form.
-Copy: Rat Kirby only. As an imperfect copy of Kirby, she doesn't have the same copying range as him, and any abilities she gets have less equipment, if any at all. Her hair often restyles itself to fit the given ability.
-Dual Rat Kirby: Since Rat Kirby is usually equipped with her sword, Yomi, if she gets an ability that has its own weapon, she wields it in tandem with Yomi to make the ability more powerful and diverse.
Equipment:-Yomi: A mid-sized sword made of a soul-reactive alloy, made from a combination of materials from distant worlds, with a flat red gem placed in the middle of the crosshilt, and a flat blue gem in the pommel. Previously nameless, it was once possessed by an evil spirit that tried to kill Rat, until a friend sacrificed herself to destroy the spirit by neutralizing it with her own soul, rendering the sword free of possession. Rat named the weapon after this friend. In Nearian form, she wears it slung in a plain brown scabbard across her back; as a puffball, she stores it inside herself when not in use. The sword becomes smaller to better fit puffball proportions when she uses it as Rat Kirby. Crappy reference
here.
-Parasol: Rat Kirby sometimes carries a red and white star-tipped parasol with her for general use, as well as to fight with. Doesn't inhale it to use with the actual Parasol ability unless she gets serious.
-Social Life-Friends:-BabyCharmander: A short lizard with a fiery personality. After Rat's initial adventures on Popstar, they met, and the two of them went through many battles and ordeals together with several of their other friends in a party called "The Team".
-Radorian/Rayd: Another Team ally, and a highly experienced fighter. After many other Team members went their separate ways, he and Rat both spent a lot of time at the Coliseum, fighting alongside each other more than against.
-Marine the Marill: A water mouse Pokemon, saved by Rat when he was still a baby Azurill. He is very attached to Rat, and while he has the cheerful, bubbly innocence of a child, he will defend Rat to the best of his ability.
-Kayla Renee/The Blackthorne Dragon: A 145-year-old shapeshifting dragon with a bad attitude. Once a sworn loner, she became friends with Rat over the course of a long adventure. Kayla Renee is her human form's alias.
-Reina Keran: A polite and studious human teenage girl from the village of Kenton, located in the land of KiGaia on planet Aia. She journeyed with Rat and Kayla, and depends more on with and knowledge than power to overcome obstacles. She is kind to a fault.
-Kokyoki: A human teenager from KiGaia, descended from the ancient Ki tribe; also known as Ko. A very serious and able swordswoman, her swordsmanship tops Rat's by many levels. Though very dependable, she tends to be rather judgmental, and often ends up getting in fights with Kayla. Ko is best friends with Reina, and the two are nearly inseparable.
Lovers: Single Serif, of the Herian species, originating from the continent of Here on the planet of Someplace. But I likely won't introduce him here, as he's better suited to the originalverse.
Beloved: In the originalverse, Rat ends up having kids with Single Serif! But in Kirbyverse, she doesn't really have any romantic connections.
Haters: Probably Florescent Kirby, AKA Flora. But a lot of characters hate her anyway, and for their own good reasons. :P
Hated: Rat isn't one to hold a grudge, but she probably gets angry at Flora the most.
Family:-Windy Amber: Rat's dad. Generally a calm and quiet guy, good with his hands. Raised his daughter by himself for most of Rat's life.
-Spring Rain: Rat's mom. Left soon after Rat was born for parts unknown. From what Amber told her, Rat knows that, apparently, Rain was looking into some sort of hidden world history.
History: Windy Rat was born to Windy Amber and Spring Rain in Somewhere Far-off, where she grew up. Her off-world adventures officially began at age 8, when she met Jamie Katz, a Catarlian. Later on, just after she reached age 16, Doors (interdimensional portals) began re-opening on Someplace after an extremely long period where no Doors would open, and of course, Rat walked into one, subsequently meeting Yomi, Reina, Ko, Kayla, and many other allies, as well as enemies, and together they helped end the large-scale destruction of worlds that had gone unchecked for millennia.
Not long after that adventure, Rat went through another Door with a best friend from her early school days, a Herian called Paint Pastel, where they both gained magical powers. After this, Dark Matter took over Someplace, and Rat narrowly escaped thanks to Kirby's (accidental) help, beginning her first adventure on Popstar. After saving her home planet, she continued having adventures on Popstar, and eventually became part of The Team.
From the time she first arrived on Popstar up until very recently, Rat was able to shapeshift to and from a total of four different forms, including one with magical powers, but was unable to return to her natural Nearian form. These forms were linked to Popstar's four Power Stars, but at the same time, it tethered her to the planet, making her unable to leave the galaxy Popstar resides in for a long time. Thanks to a wish Kayla made using the Star Rod, however, Rat now has her Nearian form back.
She is actually the chosen hero of the current era on Someplace (Nearians have typically short lifespans, and also short eras)... but that only really applies to her home planet, and not to any other. The term "chosen" is nebulous enough on her native world as it is, anyway, and does not grant the hero any special powers, just a goal they must discover for themselves.
-Other Info-Rat's ability to shift into puffball form is limited to Kirbyverse.
