About the metroid prime wii-releases, is anybody looking forward to those? (Sorry if it was mentioned earlier in the topic)

I've already got all the prime games. So I'm not too concerned, but I am curious about prime 1 and 2 with corruption controls.

My issue with it is.. will they take out the sequence breaks like they did in the players choice versions? You know, like the space jump first in Metroid prime, which opened up Many different options for game progression and add so much replayability?

Sure they were glitches, but they made the game more fun.

About Me: I don't know why I'm revealing this, but I'm a secret spy. I was hired by an organization, which shall remain nameless, in order to study this Internet Community.
I'm really excited about Metroid Prime's wiimake. I didn't get to play much of MP and the bit that I did I kinda sucked at because I wasn't too good with the controls. I do, however, have the controls of MP3 down, so I can't wait for that.

Ah, Metroid Prime. I wuv these games.

...More accurately, I love 1 and 2, since I've never played past 3's Norion invasion. But still. My only problem was that 1 was kinda easy. Honestly. Take, for example, this. The first time I played it, I played the outside portion of the spaceship. Then, next I played it, It was the final level. My mom, who had been the one actually PLAYING the game, just couldn't beat the final boss. I decided, "Hey, I'll give it a try." Beat him first time.

Hard to say. Really, I've only fully played one Metroid game: Metroid: Zero Mission, and I liked it.

I've played the first Metroid Prime on the GameCube, though I didn't get that far into it, since I wasn't that interested. I also downloaded Super Metroid on the Wii's Virtual Console, though I haven't played much of that yet.

Anyway, I wanted to post this:

I'd like to see Sylux from Metroid Prime: Hunters in this game, he's my favorite Metroid character.

I still hate myself for losing my copy of Metroid Prime. But, it does give me a good excuse to get the Wii version.

Why is this topic marked with a flame? I don't see any flame wars blazing in here...

Anyways, the only Metroid game I've substantially played is Prime, and I love it when it isn't scaring the poop out of me.

When I was younger, I had a phobia of wasps. Guess what was the most common enemy when you first enter the Chozo Ruins? I remember hiding under a ledge in the room with the giant dying tree (that wasn't the Main Plaza) for minutes when I was about 11 because I was too chicken to face down the wasps that would come out of the nest on the ceiling. :hide:

Of course, nowadays, I'm not scared of wasps or giant beetles that pop up at you out of the ground, but parts of that game are still very unnerving. (By that I mean pretty much everything that has to do with Phazon.)

Chozo ghost are what used to unnerve me when I first started playing it, they came out of nowhere and attacked FAST. I'd watch my radar only to get clobbered by a ball of light. They terrified me for some reason! Now I laugh at them as I dispatch them easily on hard mode.

I just saw that trailer on GameTrailers.com, and HO-LY-CRAP.

It seems to me that they brought back the side-scrolling element of the older games, which is pretty cool.
A Samus clone?! I was not expecting that, but it'll make one HELL of a storyline.

This game looks promising. I just hope it delivers and lives up to the name of the series. I'm so glad to be seeing the 3rd person Metroid, finally! I've been waiting for one since the n64 days.

...The only things I don't really like so far is how Samus' suit looks like plastic, and the yellow coloring of her suit, unless of course it's the basic power suit, and how disproportionate Ridley's model is. Kind of looks like stuff you'd see on the gamecube. Samus from the melee intro anyone?

Other than that I really look forward to it!

Writes Tycho:

"When they stepped forward with something called a Wii Vitality Sensor, we exploded with rage. Shortly thereafter, the sky cracked and we were reborn in a radiant pillar of divine bliss. The announcement of a new Metroid would have brought me joy merely because I love Metroid, because there is a place in me that Metroid is fitted to. That it would answer the nameless yearning of my heart and posit a serious take on the setting - with Team Ninja at the helm - was entirely too much to bear."

See the full journal entry etc at the Penny Arcade homepage.

Found this on the MDB, This is probably exactly how people reacted, lol.

Oh yes.

The moment I saw that trailer, and the non-first-person shooter gameplay, I was immediately hooked and became one of my favorite games of E3! I'll definitely be getting this one!
