Do people even read this forum (The Announcements section) anymore? I'm contemplating removing it entirely, and implementing some sort of status blotter that shows up with big glaring red text and audio klaxons or something that can't be disabled for whatever reason. :O

Well it isn't really utilized all that often, but it's still a fairly important area of the forum. Where else would we go to hear about important forum-related going-ons?

I'm pretty sure that there are enough people who at least glance at this forum every once in a while!

I read the new posts/topics here, but I usually don't reply to them much.

Regardless, this forum's still handy to have when something needs to be brought up that's of upmost importance to the community, so I wouldn't suggest removing it.

No, I've had that since forever and a day, and only recently re-enabled it. It had no bearing on the topic.

The majority of them reading it? Hell no. Most people don't even bother to read the rules before joining so chances are they wouldn't read this.
