Random question topic. Do you bite your nails?

I bite my nails all the time. In fact, some of you may have heard me complaining earlier over the fact that i was not able to bite them for a short period of time due to the curse of braces. But they will never restrain me - I of course found a way to bite my nails even with traintracks and have resumed my habit. >=)

So the question is are you a biter? A lot of people are but then there are others who think its nasty which I don't get. But anyways, say your stance on the matter and discuss. =3

Used to a lot, but I quit because of the same problem, braces.

If I am not biting my nails I am running my fingers through my hair and scratching my head. If I am not doing that I am scratching myself passively.

I chew gum like 24/7 so if I bit my nails- well you can see what would happen then.

Not really, man. I think I used to for a short time, but I must have quickly grew out of that habbit, because I don't bite my nails nowadays.

Sorry but placing my fingers in my mouth do not appeal to me.

I probably do once a week or so...No clue why I just do, and braces couldn't stop me due to I have straight teeth and I don't need them. So I guess I will just continue...I don't even notice when I do it.

I do occasionally when I'm in the shower. I used to alot more, but I gotta break the habit eventually. I don't really get anything out of it.

Then why don't you just trim them? (if you do bite your fingernails). I don't bite my nails i trim them like every four days, so no klacks!

Nail biting is something you can't give up!

I tried so many times to break the habit (upon the whims of others) but was never successful. The longest I didn't bite them for was like a month max then I had to start again. But ah well! I'm through with trying to stop - I just accept it now, I guess. :3

No, but I have a much MUCH worse habit. I always pick at my scabs, and that's disgusting, becuase sometimes I bleed all over the place during class.

Ok seriously I don't know how anybody can pick at their scabs. The thought of that sends chills down my spine.


...I think for a very short period of time I bit my nails but that was just because I needed something to do. A couple of times I've sucked on my finger because it's just one of those things you do when you're not putting your muscles to any work.

I used to bite my nails. profusely. only because I like mine as short as possible...man, my fingers looked terrible back then...I bit at stray skin, too...

but then I got braces. and it hurt so much when I tried I just moved onto a nail clipper.

I don't have braces anymore but now the habit is gone~

but now I have two new habits: cracking any joint imaginable and playing with my hair constantly.

Nope. Never. I do crack my fingers frequently though, but I never used to until about a year ago.

I actually know a lot of people who pick their scabs, and that's worse then biting nails cause then you can get scars :[
