Kirby's Rainbow Resort

Whenever I go into my 3DS system settings, the light next to the camera starts glowing red all of a sudden. I'm not sure if it was doing this all along and I somehow just didn't notice until now, but it's still really freaking me out. It only seems to happen when I go into the settings for some reason, even with the 3D slider turned all the way off. Any idea why this is happening and what it means? Should I be worried?

If it only does it in system settings for whatever reason, I don’t think it’s a concern. Then again, I’ve never heard anything like this before.

When I looked it up, the articles I found said it was the "3D face tracker". But it only happens in the system settings whether the 3D is on or off, not when I'm playing a game in 3D.
(And I rarely use the 3D effect on this thing anyway, I usually forget it exists.)
