So, I saw that there wasn't a topic about this game so I'm making one, because it deserves it's own topic. Personally, I thought it was the best game shown at E3, yeah, even better than the new
Legend of Zelda, which was pretty awesome, too.
Seriously, the idea of there being a new Kid Icarus game after almost 20 years is just amazing. And that was before I actually saw the gameplay. It looks like a blast to play, with Pit apparently being able to use a number of different weapons. I also like the two different game modes as well: the flying mode with looks like a rail-shooter of sorts, and the ground fighting, which looks like a third-person shooter.
It also looks like it's going to have an interesting story, with various places to explore and bosses to fight. That boat near the end of the trailer had me intrigued.
But what really brought a smile to my eyes were the return of all the classic characters and enemies. Along with Pit and the Goddess, Palutena, Medusa also returns (in her beautiful form which you can see in the first game right after you beat her), in addition to enemies such as Daphne (the green plant-like enemy), Mick (the green enemy with the big, pink lips), Monoeye (the red, tentacled enemy with the big eye), Twinbellows (the two-headed dog that was the first boss of Kid Icarus), the Reaper (that annoying enemy from the first game now now appeared to be upgraded to be a boss), and of cours, the fan favorite of the series, the Eggplant Wizard! Hell, it just wouldn't be a
Kid Icarus game without him! I think there were other enemies in the trailer that I might of missed... I'd better look through it again!
Definitely looking good so far, and not that I NEED anything else to get this game, but just for even more of a reason to be excited, I'd also like to see the following characters and enemies in the game:
-Old Man Zeus
-Uranos
-Pluton/Pluton Fly/The Black Marketeer
-Centurions
-Collins
-Erinus
-Kobil/Keepah
-Komayto (Metroid cameo

)
-Rokman
-Shemum
-Snowman
-Zuree
-Maybe a brief mention of Orcos (the main villain in the second game,
Of Myths and Monsters)
That's a long list... But, seeing as they're really aiming for a return to classic Kid Icarus, I see no reason why these guys SHOULDN'T be in the game... Aside from the prospect of adding new enemies and characters to the game, but still.
Anyway, anyone else excited? Well, you're probably not as excited now as you were when it was first announced, but are you excited anyway?
