So, I saw that there wasn't a topic about this game so I'm making one, because it deserves it's own topic. Personally, I thought it was the best game shown at E3, yeah, even better than the new Legend of Zelda, which was pretty awesome, too.

Seriously, the idea of there being a new Kid Icarus game after almost 20 years is just amazing. And that was before I actually saw the gameplay. It looks like a blast to play, with Pit apparently being able to use a number of different weapons. I also like the two different game modes as well: the flying mode with looks like a rail-shooter of sorts, and the ground fighting, which looks like a third-person shooter.

It also looks like it's going to have an interesting story, with various places to explore and bosses to fight. That boat near the end of the trailer had me intrigued.

But what really brought a smile to my eyes were the return of all the classic characters and enemies. Along with Pit and the Goddess, Palutena, Medusa also returns (in her beautiful form which you can see in the first game right after you beat her), in addition to enemies such as Daphne (the green plant-like enemy), Mick (the green enemy with the big, pink lips), Monoeye (the red, tentacled enemy with the big eye), Twinbellows (the two-headed dog that was the first boss of Kid Icarus), the Reaper (that annoying enemy from the first game now now appeared to be upgraded to be a boss), and of cours, the fan favorite of the series, the Eggplant Wizard! Hell, it just wouldn't be a Kid Icarus game without him! I think there were other enemies in the trailer that I might of missed... I'd better look through it again!

Definitely looking good so far, and not that I NEED anything else to get this game, but just for even more of a reason to be excited, I'd also like to see the following characters and enemies in the game:

-Old Man Zeus
-Uranos
-Pluton/Pluton Fly/The Black Marketeer
-Centurions
-Collins
-Erinus
-Kobil/Keepah
-Komayto (Metroid cameo :101grin: )
-Rokman
-Shemum
-Snowman
-Zuree
-Maybe a brief mention of Orcos (the main villain in the second game, Of Myths and Monsters)

That's a long list... But, seeing as they're really aiming for a return to classic Kid Icarus, I see no reason why these guys SHOULDN'T be in the game... Aside from the prospect of adding new enemies and characters to the game, but still.

Anyway, anyone else excited? Well, you're probably not as excited now as you were when it was first announced, but are you excited anyway?

Honestly, when I saw this, I nearly crapped myself. ANOTHER KID ICARUS GAME? IT'S BEEN YEARS!

Seriously. It's great to see them revive such a classic character. However, I'm a bit worried that they are going too far with the super-action that's going on. But, in any case, it looks incredible, so I won't doubt what they are doing with it.

My excitement for this game is completely irrelevant to the fact that it's a Kid Icarus game. Simply put, the game looks like a fantastic game in a general sense and immediately makes the 3DS look like its worth the cash.

Nobody is actually excited about this game because it's another Kid Icarus game, they're actually excited because Pit was popular in Brawl and he has a game now.

Have you actually played Kid Icarus? Yikes

Oh no, I'm not excited about it for either of those reasons. I'm excited about it because it looks like a good game in its own right.

I have, and so far, I haven't even gotten past the third level of the Underworld.

...But that's all about to change, now that I've acquired a password to skip to the first fortress! >:D

But anyway, yeah, it's great to see that not only is there going to be a new Kid Icarus game, but that it looks freaking awesome, too.

I worded that question wrong and didn't actually mean to ask you that; it was more of a rhetorical question.

I personally do not like the game. There are a lot of unfortunate problems with it.

Yeah, it's got its problems alright, like it's overly long and confusing password system, the fact that the first three stages scroll upword and kill you instantly if you go near the bottom, and that the same first three stages have so many enemies in cheap places. And that freaking Grim Reaper and those McGoos, they've killed me more times than any other enemies in the game!

But that's all about to change now that I've acquired a password to get past those damn three stages and skip right to the first fortress!

You're in for a very unpleasant surprise.

I'm just happy they gave him a decent actor this time around~ XD

But it's nothing like the original, I can't even draw a line between the two...
Change is good too though, I just hope it keeps some old mechanics.

Nothing like the original? To me all the essentials are there: the characters, the recognizable enemies, and you get to shoot stuff with your arrow.

Well the original... Was less fighting off hordes and more, running for your god damn life since the grim reaper just did that song thing even though the next part of the level is already hard enough oh crap you fell back to the start of the level you go.

Kid Icarus was so very hard.
Probably the most unfair platformer ever.
But I still love it.

Yeah, those Reaper's are a pain in the @$$, which is almost a shame to see that they've been upgraded to a boss in this game...

But then again, I'd rather not go through the pain of hiding from them then shooting them while they're back is turn, then running like Hell when the Reapettes show up.

Speaking of which, I started to play through the game again, from the beginning, and it's actually a lot easier this time around, mostly because I managed to increase my health bar after the first few 2 stages.

A bit late to the party but yes I’ve played this game and yes it was absolutely amazing however the game itself was crap. The whole thing is very very very limited and basically you’re just following along in a story, now the story is honestly what carries the entire game, it’s the reason why I finished the entire game in one day xD I love this game and it is amazing, the story more than makes up for the lack in everything else and I give it a 10/10 IGN
