Kirby's Rainbow Resort

Hi! First of all, I'd like to thank you for stopping by to see my work. I hope you enjoy viewing it as much as I enjoy drawing it. Right now I only have one finished picture but I'm planning to add more artwork soon! Feel free to leave a comment or suggestions (as long as you're polite, I'm fine with constructive criticism).

Anyways, here's my first picture. It's part of what I suppose could be considered a little "series" of drawings that depicts characters from my fan comics, along with a little biography thing based on those said comics (I may have given myself a little artistic lincense but for the most part I tried to stay accurate to the Kirby series ). I tend to draw them cuter than they appear in the anime. (I apologize for the watermark. I've had things stolen before, so I figured it would be smart to put one on my pictures.)

Because Dedede is probably my favorite, I drew him first. It's a little small though.

Also know as: Triple D, DDD, D-man, His Majesty, His Highness
Likes: Food (especially turban shells), getting his way, hanging out with Escargon, swimming, television production, shiny things, dinosaurs
Dislikes: Pickled dishes, Kirby (though not always), not getting his way, being scolded, Tokkori, Fumu annoying him, being bored, cold weather, needles, scary movies
Favorite color: Red
Favorite food: aforementioned turban shells, also partial to sweets

A friendly guy with an unfortunately short temper. Also extremely spoiled. However, he's really just a big softy and often acts like a child. Has some "attention issues" and is easily excitable. Often relies on Escargon to do things for him and sees him as an older brother of sorts.

I think I'm going to post some of the comics too once I finish one of them. Buuuuttt, that's it for now, (please be gentle with the comments lol.)

Here's Kirby. He's a pretty jolly guy. (I have trouble drawing him though. For some reason he always comes out looking slightly off. But maybe that's just me...)

Likes: Food, playing with his friends, bedtime stories, singing, visiting Castle Dedede (an item likely on Dedede and Escargon's dislike list.)
Dislikes: Being told "no", Tokkori's grouchiness, When Dedede will not play with him, being kicked out of the kitchen by Escargon
Favorite color: "All of them!"
Favorite food: Watermelons, also enjoys tomatoes

A cute little ball of energy. Kirby is a happy toddler who loves to make new friends! He is loyal and caring but can be a little bossy and impulsive. His favorite hobby is eating, and his appetite will put the toughest competitive eaters to shame! No one knows exactly where this little guy came from, but he claims he ran away from home and that his father is a soldier in Dreamland's army (it's not Meta Knight, relax.)

*tsk, tsk* Oh bother, why can't these two just get along?

This one took a good bit more time than my other pieces, (I'm not sure how much time it took exactly, but at least a few hours). I'm really happy with the way it turned out. I wish you guys could see it without the watermark, but unfortunately, there are people on the internet who enjoy stealing my work. >.<' Anyways, comments are welcome, as well as any suggestions you have for a kirby related artwork.

I love the background, the level and quality of detail is really good. I especially like the window. x3 How you drew the different characters is great too. x3 Kind Dedede's expression is positively adorable. xD And I love how you coloured it.

I love it! Always great to see anime fanart. There used to be a lot of that several years ago, but it's so hard to come by now! I like that you drew the entire room. Backgrounds add a lot to the picture.

Aw, that's too bad. I like the anime. =( Thanks! Hehe, I'm actually not so good at backgrounds, though I've been getting a lot better at them. I'm thinking of doing another one like this, just have to figure out what characters I should draw and all that.

Just joined and pursuing the different forums and stumbled upon your work, it's really nicely done! I like the bright colors you use, very fitting the Kirby style, least of what I know of it. Please do continue the great work, and in regards to your last post I'd love to see some sort of comic by you!

Lol so I finally got around to finishing something. This one took me a few days to complete but I'm really happy with how it came out.



"Move aside, move aside!" Oh no, looks like Dedede is causing mischief again; probably in a rush to buy some sort of novelty at Gangu's that he saw on tv. Poor Escargon tries (unsuccessfully) to restrain him while Bandana Dee cowers in the corner as the island landscape zooms past his little face at an alarming rate. I got the idea for this picture from one of Dedede's attacks in the "Kirby Mass Attack" sub-game, "Kirby Master."

I'm working on another big picture but I made this little one in the meantime to share with my fellow Kirby fans.

Kirby was supposed to help Tokkori with some chores, but he was kinda sleepy, so he decided to take a nap instead.

(I dunno why Tokorri is outlined kinda pixely, I think maybe I accidentally used a different sized brush on his outline?
Anyways, I hope you all enjoy it. I'd like to figure out a better, less intrusive way to do those watermarks though. )

So I was watching the anime episode where Dedede has those waddle dee vending machines and there was this one part with a totally epic commerical by Escargon where he's cleaning up because some snob guy is coming over...

Lol. I just had to draw my own version of this, because it's so awesome.

I kept the whole black and white color scheme but I added in a bow tie, since Essie seems to enjoy wearing them, and a waddle dee with an equally snazzy bow tie, which is just another one of the awesome things about the "Waddle Dees for Sale" episode. So yeah, hope you all like it! (and watch that episode if you get the chance because even without subs it's great.)
