Probably not a whole lot, quite honestly, at least when it comes to storylines and human characters. I've yet to play an actual Pokémon game that isn't a spinoff.

I've played the demo of Pokémon Rumble for the Wii, and Pokémon Rumble World for the 3DS! I've also got the 3DS port of Pokémon Red, but I haven't gotten too far into it quite yet. There's probably a couple other spinoffs I've played, but they slip my mind at the moment.
