Yes, the movement that began a year ago today in order to draw attention to, among other things, corrupt and incompetent authority. A recent high-profile example of our first-world right to protest--within reason. It's protesting that ultimately changes nothing because at the end of the day the targets of the protest hold the cards and are effectively insurmountable, but even that doesn't stop the zeitgeist, now does it? It only makes it stronger, don't you think?

Of course, there are still some people protesting even a year later. And a lot of people look at these particularly persistent protesters and say "oh, give it up. get a life already." Maybe they should. But what has already happened is unforgettable, no? They've made their point, at least.

But it hardly matters either way since nobody really cares anymore, I think.
