Kirby's Rainbow Resort

The past day had been filled with comical disasters, and fast paced competition. The evening was falling on the Coliseum as Plas and Kairus dragged their prey along back towards the Coliseum grounds. The sky was slowly fading to green and orange on the horizon, as the sun began to set. Birds were chirping as the sparse clouds in the sky lazily drifted by.

"Ah!" Rayd gasped, feeling a bit refreshed from his glass of mineral water. It had been a long day, especially for him, and he was now sitting in a ceiling-less section of the diner. His hair was slicked back a bit, and was wearing a long, jersey-like black shirt with deep blue pants. He leaned back in his chair, his necklace glistening in the light.

Dusk, Brackard, and Paul were also in the diner, though in a different section. Dusk himself had just sat down to enjoy a meal after leaving Leaf to his own devices in the lobby, whom had headed to bed. Meanwhile, Machinist watched as Zetsara stormed off down the hallway towards Pontius, still unsure about what to do about her, or Placia for that matter.

Pontius was busy in the infirmary, unsuspecting that he was about to be in grave danger from his former lover. He was watching over Naruto, who had recently fallen asleep on one of the cots. Kakashi had left him in his care, himself opting to get some food.

Kakashi walked through the diner, asking the waitress for a water and some ramen as he passed, moving along to sit at a table in between Rayd and Dusk's group.

"Hi there," Kakashi said, greeting Dusk, Brackard, and Paul with a wave. He decided not to interrupt Rayd, as he seemed to want to sit by himself, and was lost looking at the sky.

Pwi!

A drop of water splattered as it impacted the surface of Rayd's table.

"Hm?" Rayd mumbled, a second drop spattered, and then a third. Clouds seemed to be forming out of nowhere above the mountain. It wasn't exactly weird for the location, weather came and went sporadically. Rayd grabbed his glass and ran inside just as the rain began falling steadily. Something felt off about it to Rayd, but he couldn't put his finger on it.

"Man...I hate it when that happens..." He said, turning back to look outside. It was an abrupt downpour. Kakashi looked outside as well.

"Mm...great reading weather," He replied.

"Yeah...I s'pose," Rayd mumbled.

Meanwhile, Plas and Kairus were now effectively getting drenched in the torrent of rain. Plas' ears caught something nearby, but he wasn't sure what he had heard exactly...a dull explosion?

In a nearby clearing, about a half a dozen clouds of smoke were rising from the ground, quickly being filtered away by the precipitation. From one of the clouds, a foot stepped forth, planting itself firmly in the muddied ground.

"Nagato...are you sure he's here? This place is...distant," a female voice questioned.

"Yes...I pinpointed the Kyuubi's chakra, there's no mistaking it..." a deep, masculine voice replied. As the smoke cleared, it began revealing the black cloaks garbing the individuals, marked with red cloud patterns. The dusty veil finally disintegrated, allowing all seven present to step into the fading light. All but the female had stunning orange hair, her's was black with a slight blue tint.

"...And my tears have confirmed it," The same man, Nagato, spoke, the one in the center of the group. His hair was short and spiky, and he had three rod piercings stuck straight through the cartilage of his nose. Two spike piercings also protruded through his lower lip, and there were numerous piercings upon his ears. The man opened his eyes, revealing them to be purple, with a radiating ring-pattern throughout.

"And what of the others present...I'm sure there are more," The female questioned, concerned.

"Unfortunately they must be sacrificed...if they survive, I can only home my pain unto them will usher in their own form of peace...but the Kyuubi must be captured." He spoke, "There are two nearby...we must act swiftly."

The other men present all shared characteristics with Nagato; orange hair, though drastically different lengths, and one was balled and very, very odd looking. They all had numerous, black piercings as well. As Nagato finished speaking, two stepped forth. One was of smaller stature, with long hair, a lengthy strand of which covered the right side of his face. His eyes were narrow and serious. The other, behind him, was the bald, ogre-like man. His body shape was very peculiar. His head was large, his neck was thick and almost non-existent beneath his head.

"...Asura Path and Animal Path will lead the assault, as planned," Nagato commanded, calm and nearly monotone.

"I hope you know what you're doing..." The woman stated, before vanishing in a poof of smoke.

"This world will know Pain!" Nagato announced. The bald body grabbed the smaller Animal Path, lurched backwards and launched it into the air. He soared upwards, gaining altitude at astounding speeds, performing hand seals on his ascent.

There was a rustle in the bushes. Nagato lazily peered over, staring into the bushes before he and the other three Path's vanished in an explosion of smoke. They re-appeared far above the Coliseum structures, having been reverse-summoned by the Animal Path. They split directions, each descending rapidly upon a section of the gargantuan structure, but leaving Animal Path where he was - falling rapidly at the front gates of the Coliseum. He landed deftly on one knee, slamming his palms into the ground.

"Kuchiyose no Jutsu!" He announced - his voice was exactly the same as Nagato's. He was immediately shrouded in an enormous cloud of smoke, which quickly blew away. A gigantic Rhino, nearly fifty feet tall, galloped towards the Coliseum's front doors in a full bull-rush. All anyone could hear was a loud roar from the beast, and the following crash from the imploding wall as it broke through the structure and into the lobby.

M1 felt helpless as he followed Zetsara, he was unable to reach her with words, she was too lost in her anger. Despite his focus being on her, he halted his pursuit, something had captured his attention. It was faint, very faint, but it was there. "Tremors... Very.. No, they're growing?" It wans't as though tremors weren't common out here, normally any that did occur would be generated from any of the arenas while somebody was fighting. However, these seemed to be coming from outside, and they were moving. He would have dismissed it, but it was followed by the sound of what could only be described as an explosive going off in the lobby.

Without missing a beat, he took off, moving to investigate. He wasn't entirely certain what had just happened, but he was acting under the assumption that some type of accident had taken place. He wasn't anticipating the large Rhino now occupying the lobby, it wasn't as though the Coliseum was familiar with hostility, nobody here had any enemies that M1 could name. It was only natural that he'd be unaware that this was an assault, in fact, he thought it was a lost or injured animal. "Oh my... This IS interesting... " He approached the "poor" thing and ran his claws across the surface of it's thick hide, it was alive, that much was for sure. But he began to shift his mode of vision, attempting to find what exactly was wrong with the creature. Completely unaware that he was likely it's next target.

Dusk had been quietly eating spiced chicken when Kakashi arrived, who greeted Brakkard, Paul, and himself with a wave. Dusk had quietly, but politely returned the gesture at the other masked man with a quiet "Good to meet you." Dusk had his mask off at the moment, and had turned off his sound seeing eye to relaxe and fully enjoy the meal. He didn't realize his mistake until he felt the tremors, and instantly his sound seeing eye was turned on.

Some kind of monstrous Rhino had burst right through a wall and into the lobby with all the subtlety of, well, a rhino. Dusk was already up from his seat as he quickly put his mask over his head, looking over at Rayd and Kakashi with an urgency in his eyes. He then took off to the lobby where he found the overly large rhino, and looked at it calculatingly. He had no idea how to engage the creature without causing a large amount of collateral damage. He looked over at M1, who seemed to be observing the creature's actions, and Dusk figured he was far enough away from the rhino to safely cast a spell without accidentally hitting him.

Hmmm, this could be risky! Dusk thought to himself as he formed the seals, a magic grid under him. He put his hands to the ground and released the energy he was gathering into it as a Rune flashed in front of him. "Everyone, GET AWAY FROM IT!" Dusk shouted as he finished casting. "Earth Style: Piercing Horn!" Dusk said, declaring his spell as jagged pillars of stone popped out from under the creature in an attempt to spear it multiple times. The pillars of rock then sank into the ground, and the ground underneath collapsed into a hole.

I hope that was enough! Dusk thought to himself as he scanned the area with his sound eye, trying to find the cause. He saw a lone heart-beat outside in front of the destroyed wall, and could just barely make out two other heart-beats outside the structure. There were probably more, but from the lobby he was too far away to see any others.

"There appears to be many of them, approaching in multiple directions." He said, addressing anyone who could hear him.

As Kairus and Plas made their way back to the Coliseum in the soaking rain, Kairus looked up at the grand structure in puzzlement. Even from this distance he could see all the noise with his sound-seeing eye, and he had barely noticed what seemed to be some sort of dull explosion.

"What's going on?" The spider asked Plas, a somewhat worried tone in his voice.

" Something isn't right... Animals don't make exploding noises...." Plas's thought to himself as he turned his head towards the direction he had heard the odd sound. They had only just barely left the forest when he heard the noise.

"What's going on?" The spider asked him, a somewhat worried tone in his voice. Durock was unaware that Karius was able to 'see' sounds, much less that he had noticed some kind of chaos over by the coliseum.

"I don't know Kairus.. but I think there's something over that way..." The large cat responded, staring back into a particular section of the forest. "Think we should check it out?"

"Everyone, GET AWAY FROM IT!"

This was the only piece of information M1 needed, apparently somebody had found latent hostility in this Rhino's appearance, prompting M1 to launch himself away from the behemoth. Sliding to stop just right of Dusk.

"Earth Style: Piercing Horn!" Dusk commanded, skewering the titanic creature with multiple pillars of jagged stone, M1 wasn't exactly certain what his decisions were being based on, but then he mentioned the multiple frequencies coming from outside. He hadn't noticed himself, but a brief proximity scan cleared any doubts he may have had. "There are plenty more of them... But, how exactly did you notice them before me?" He was merely curious, as always, he was also more or less wishing he had been more on guard, but he saw no reason to lash out until Dusk arrived on the scene.

"This was meant to be a distraction. The rest of them are unaware that we know they're here. I'll move outside and make myself vulnerable, I reason that they'd anticipate such a reaction." In fact, he thought they were counting on one, but because M1 was inorganic, he was the best candidate for live bait. Without another word, he made his move, launching himself outside, and straight into harms way. There was some good that would come of this, because this wasn't a regulated event, he had no need to restrain himself, releasing his limiters would also further announce his presence, as releasing up to three would begin generating pressure up to 50 feet around the machine, towards the center one would feel intense heat, certainly nothing on par with Plas' aura, but it was easily noticeable.

Torvus had decided to return to the bedroom, he was laying on the bed relaxing, reading one of the tiger's science magazines when he heard a sudden roar, followed by a loud crash, and then felt the trembling of the building "That can't be good..?" The devil thought, then took his ammo belt and strapped it to his waist, then he grabbed to his arm cannon then loaded severals kinds of ammo into it.

To be specific his napalm capsules, gas capsules, acid capsules, and venom darts, loading 10 rounds of each into the gun. He also openned a slot on top of the the weapon itself up and then loaded in two cartridges into it before closing it back up. Inside them was napalm solution, "liquid fire" that couldn't be easily doused by water, that he could spray as a stream. HE was about to run off, but then decided that just in case he needed "heavier ordinance" he loaded into 20 of his metal pellets, each of them small solid spheres of iron about half an inch in diameter.

Now, fully armed, he rushed for the lobby to see what the commotion was, only to find everybody inside the lobby, staring towards the entrance of of the building.. He followed their gazes to find... a MASSIVE Rhino had taken out the door as well as the wall.

"WHAT THE FU-" He shouted, his jaw dropping a while he stared at the titanic creature in utter disbelief.

((A lot of the stuff I do with Torvus will probably seem like ass-pulls, but bear with me because I'll basically be trying to build his fighting style as I go. Though he has a water affinity, he isn't limit just to it. He can control any kind of liquid. I'm going to try to figure out the fun I can have with steam, water and pressure. I'm a bit stumped though so if you have ideas, send me notes!))

RP Character Profiles

The rhino looked around momentarily, steam blowing out of it's nostrils as it huffed and growled. It's purple, rippled eyes passed over everyone present, but suddenly lurched upwards and back in pain as large earthen spikes climbed out of the ground, stabbing the creature on it's underside and breaking upon it's hooves. Blood poured out onto the lobby floor as it backed away, slamming it's front left hoof down, and scraping it back repeatedly. It had escaped the sink hole that had dropped out beneath it, and it seemed to be preparing to strike desperately, as the gaping wound was taking it's toll.

In an instant, Machinist leaped forward, zipping past the large beast. The rhino's eyes were locked onto him for but a moment before focusing on the smaller Dusk - and it seemed fully aware that Dusk had tried to attack it. The massive, bloodied creature whipped it's head sideways, hooking the lobby desk and a number of other furniture pieces with it's crescent horn, and hurled the large equipment towards Dusk. Immediately following this, it charged forth behind the incoming missiles, planning to gore it's target with seemingly no regard to it's own safety. Torvus arrived at the scene, unsure of what to do as the appearance of the creature itself had surprised him.

Meanwhile, M1 passed through the exit of the Coliseum as he caught glimpse of the small, cloaked man standing in the distance, though obscured by rain. He quickly lost sight of the man, however, as the area which M1 occupied erupted into a colossal explosion, obliterating the entrance way. Fire spewed into the lobby area, lighting it up briefly as the thunderous echo reverberated through the room over and over, the smoke and dust from the blast blowing in from behind, and completely obscuring the rhino from sight as the debris filled the room to the brim.

Torvus shook his head, he didn't want to believe what he was seeing wasn't just a figment of his imagination, Rhinos just didn't come in that size.. but there it was in plain sight, the impossible, however his focus was quickly averted towards the fire, as well as the dust that was quickly filling the lobby. His first instinct was to look at the cieling for a sprinkler system or something, he saw nothing he recognized as being them.. "Seriously.. where are the sprinklers.. Who built this place?" He sighed and did the next best thing.

He focused his gaze on the torrential rain outside the entrance of the building and then put his arms out in front of him and put his paws together as if he was cupping something, then he made several wide sweeping motions, going from right to left. The heavy downpour started to behave unnaturally, instead of falling straight down, the rain started pouring into the building along a horizontal plain, and spread throughout the lobby as if it was being pulled in by an unseen for or sucked in by a power powerful vacuum, quickly drenching the entire the lobby and dousing the flames, as well as wetting the dust, causing it to settle more quickly.

There.. that took care of the fire.. but what about he Rhino?" He thought as he stared at his gun and cycled through his ammo. Gas Capsules? ... No.. too many people around.. They need their senses intact, and don't need to be poisoned and paralyzed.. Napalm capsules.. No.. I just put effort into putting a fire out.. Acid? ... That could work...

The devil pointed his right arm towards the rhino and then did a hand gesture that rotated the barrel until his acid capsules were armed. "I'm going to feel silly if I manage to miss something THAT large, I mean there's no real place for it to go.." he thought and then immediately fired two capsules in rapid succession towards the spot where he last saw the large beast. These capsule would explode just before impact and then, if his aim was true, they would splash the rhino with a wide spray of concentrated hydrochloric acid that would quickly and painfully burn through it's tough hide.

"Wait! I could use...some help!" Dusk said in an attempt to call out to M1, but to no avail. He looked back at the rhino, who had suffered serious injuries, and was staring angrily at him. Hmmm I guess I should have expected as much. Dusk thought. Without warning, the rhino hooked most of the furniture in the lobby onto its horn and threw them at him. Thinking quickly, Dusk made some quick motions and raised his arm. "Wind Style: Jet Stream!" Dusk chanted as a tunnel of wind knocked the projectiles back to the sender, who crashed through them with the intent to gore Dusk with its horn recklessly.

I'll meet you half way! Dusk thought as he ran full tilt at the humongous beast, performing quick motions as he went. As soon as he was within a couple of feet of the creature, he cast Jet Stream again and power slid under it. He rode the current and maneuvered around its feet, then came up in a jump and slashed it in the back. He hit the ground running and skidded to a halt as a massive explosion sounded in the lobby, filling it with flames and debris. Choking, he began to cast a wind technique to clear out the fire, as he was especially vulnerable without his sight.

Thankfully he didn't have to, as water driven by an unseen force came splashing into the lobby from outside. Dusk looked around to see Torvus making some motions, and assumed that it was his doing. He then watched as Torvus loaded an arm cannon and fired some sort of projectile directly at the rhino. Dusk got into a ready position, waiting to see the results of the onslaught.

"Alright, let's check it out." Kairus said to Plas as he followed him into that section of the forest, still having a feeling of unease. "But right after we should definitely book it to the Coliseum, there looks to be quite a commotion going on." He continued, having seen the intense sound waves given off by the explosion in the lobby. He then opened up his pact link to Dusk and telepathically sent a short message.

"Yeah.. I guess we should" Durock said, nodding back back the spider in agreement about returning, while still carrying the half-a-ton satchel of meat over his shoulders. The pair of them slowly made their way towards the clearing, and since he felt uneasy, naturally Durock decided to build up his EM field and allowed it to spread to it's maximum radius of 20 feet. If anything was out there he didn't want to be caught off guard...

As anticipated, he had sprung a trap, which was actually a good thing in this particular case, being a machine, M1 was far more expendable than his companions, and twice as stubborn. In any case, it would take more than that to put him down, granted, the force of the blast, did propel him further than expected, and it had also peeled away some of his exoskeleton, but it wasn't something that couldn't be fixed. Without missing a beat, he exchanged modes of vision, settling into a type of low-frequency motion tracker. Capable of tracking disturbances in the air, via molecules, obviously the first thing he noticed was the downpour, but he was also capable of dissecting and isolating particular targets of interest, and it wasn't hard to notice something living, even if they were hiding in place, their body was still in motion, the soft rising of the chest as they inhale, the beating of their heart, and the flow of blood, it was all clearly visible, and readily discernible from everything else.

"Don't think I've lost you yet!" He was a fair distance away, but regardless the machine intended on flushing him out. Employed his ability to manipulate matter, the cloaked figure would notice his surroundings were beginning to sink into a hole three feet to his right, it was all being drawn in, as though the area were magnetized. Swift action would result in an easy escape obviously, but that was what M1 was counting on, he had mentally prepared a buildup of energy at the tip of his claw, he would target the cloaked enemy the moment he made his move, this in itself was not a lethal attack, no, it was more akin to a concentrated vacuum, like a powerful burst of air, that would force him towards M1. Of course, chances were this would be no simple task. And he was ready for this to fail.

((Wait there was a trap? The way it was worded was a bit confusing, so I thought the flames and exploding were the result M1's heat and pressure stuff... ah well-- I'm also confused on where all the pain are supposed to be? Sand slash had to explain things to me about how the group works because I was confused. -- Just delete this after you explain, if ya do. Thanks in advance!))

RP Character Profiles

"Don't think I've lost you yet!" Machinist stepped forward, preparing his move as he began distorting the matter beside the body of Pain far ahead of him.

SHREEE- KABOOM!

Machinist's aim was knocked off again as he was engulfed in yet another concussive blast, and a third major explosion followed suite, trumping even the second in scale. The Animal Path didn't flinch, or miss a beat as he slammed his hands to the ground again. Perhaps he wasn't the source of the assault?

"Kuchiyose no Jutsu!" The Animal Path announced, again vanishing in a sudden explosion of smoke. Fierce growling could be heard from the smoke, and as it cleared the Animal Path could be seen, it's right hand upon the lower, rear hind leg of a dog-like monster. It was roughly thirty feet tall, and probably more than twice that in length. It was brown in color, had a large, black spike lodged vertically in it's snout, and like Animal Path and his previous summon, bore the same violet, rippled eyes. The beast had no ears, and seemed to have very tiny wing-like protrusions on it's back...Animal Path smiled, and the beast bolted forth towards the flaming wreckage from the explosion with a nasty howl.

Dusk's assault had been successful. The rhino was simply too slow to be able to react to such quick and nimble maneuvers, and as it turned once more to face him, Torvus' acid rounds burst open on it's back, coating part of it's body in acid. The rhino roared in pain as the chemicals sizzled on it's hide. Torvus was feeling strained...it had taken way more effort than normal to bend the rain to his will, something about the rain was weird...

Meanwhile, as Plas pressed forward...his EM Field wasn't picking anything up, at all. When they finally made it to the clearing, they found nothing; it was the location at which Pain had arrived and began his assault. What they had heard was the explosion caused by the reverse-summoning that brought the group to this world. They had been unintentionally duped!

((It actually wasn't a trap! Also, don't be surprised if your senses/scanners don't work...Pain is unique.))

The consecutive concussive blasts had indeed served their purpose, M1 had lost his focus, as well as his mark. His metallic hide was steadily being lost, but was returning almost as quickly, any more of that and he'd be all but immune to the effects of those explosions, it should be worth noting that with each blast, he actually took less damage. He had to recover quickly, as he knew the assault wouldn't relent any time soon, burning a path through the smoke, he caught a glimpse of the large, canine monstrosity. He wondered exactly where these creatures were coming from, and how these individuals were bringing them here unnoticed.

Without further ado, M1 launched himself towards the massive beast, his speed increasing the sheer amount of force he intended to hit his target with. It would take only seconds to reach it, and he intended to hit it with enough force to flatten a Noripathian walker. His fist rearing back to prime itself for the collision. He would more than likely not stop there either, once he made contact, his design was to pass clean through the creature, carving a path straight towards it's master. He was acting under the assumption that he, or she or it was in that very direction. And only one thing stood in his way.

Oi Dusk, what's going on there?

Coliseum is under attack, get back as soon as you can. Dusk replied as he looked at the rhino staring him down, thinking of a way to finish the thing off. He noticed that Torvus had scored a hit on its back, so that area was likely the best bet now after the chemicals weakened its hide. Dusk pulled down his sleeve on his right arm, and swiped his fingers over a Rune engraved in the metal of his arm.

"Hey Torvus, if this screws up, try to give me some cover fire so I can retreat." Dusk said, preparing to merge his swords. The rune in his arm glowed, and he put his two short swords above his head.

"Come forth, Bastion and Gale Omega." Dusk muttered as the two blades flashed and melded together to form a large great sword. Dusk took it in his right arm and dashed at the Rhino, casting Jet Stream as he went. As he neared the rhino, he released the Jet Stream and jumped into it, propelled upwards by the current and far over the rhino's back. As he began to descend on the rhino's back, he took the great sword in both hands and thrust it downwards, charging energy as he went.

"Earth Style: Graveyard!" He yelled as he braced for impact, the air making a whistling noise as he dropped. He finally impacted, kicking off a shock wave as he dug his sword down and released a stream of energy. Not one to be caught in the aftermath, he dislodged his sword and jumped away, making a three point landing a good distance away.

Did it work?

"There's nothing here?" Kairus said, moderately puzzled at his and Plas' findings (or rather the lack thereof). He looked around the clearing, trying to find evidence of a presence of some sort.

Coliseum is under attack, get back as soon as you can. Dusk's voice reverberated in Kairus' head, clear and resounding. Kairus looked at Plas, his puzzlement replaced with urgency.

"Dusk just sent me a message telepathically. The Coliseum is under attack!" Kairus said, his voice somewhat panicked. "We gotta get back there and provide support!" The spider said, this time in an attempt to sound calm. The spider had come to the Coliseum to battle, but now hostiles were actually attacking the Coliseum; a far cry from the more sport-like battling he had come for.

Plas looked around a perplexed expression on his face. There really was nothing here "How strange.. Maybe I was hearing things..?"He thought to himself, he was about to turn around and address Kairus that maybe they should give it another look just in case, but then he saw the spider staring at him, his eight eyes filled with distress and urgency.

"Dusk just sent me a message telepathically. The Coliseum is under attack!"

Back in the coliseum, Torvus was suffering from a bit of a headache, holding his head with his free paw. Manipulating liquids usually wasn't so stressful on him.. No matter what it was. He couldn't figure out why the rain had strained him, it wasn't like he pulled Brakk's levitation trick from his battle with Durock in the water arena. Heck this was something he used to practice back in the jungle.. It made no sense unless there was something super-natural about it.

"Hey Torvus, if this screws up, try to give me some cover fire so I can retreat." Dusk called out, Addressing the devil directly

"Right, Okay" Torus responded, rubbing his paws together while squinting his eyes and focusing on the Rhino's body, The air immediately around the giant beast began to heat up rapidly, and soon, within the next moment or so, it would combust, covering the beast from all sides with half a dozen of short-lived explosions. If nobody interrupted Torvus' focus, Dusk would literally get his 'cover fire.'

((Fact: Fire and Lightning are both forms of plasma - Torvus has access to it through heat manipulation, but obviously not to the extent Durock does. He can't cloak himself in it or manipulate it. (Too intense, and an aura of it would kill him if he tried) YAY I figured something out for him))

"Alright! Understood!" Kairus said as he crawled onto Plas' back and clung on with all of his eight legs. Usually Kairus would be uncomfortable in such a position, but this was different. Dusk and everyone else at the Coliseum were in danger, and he knew Plas would be able to get them there as fast as possible. As a precaution, he tied his scarf around Plas' chest and held onto it with his front legs, ready for what he assumed would be an intense ride.

"Okay, ready!" The spider said determinedly, preparing himself for the trip. He hoped that he wouldn't weigh Plas down too much, or offset his balance. Then, the tiger took off, shielding them both in a bubble of electricity as he ran.

So. Fast. Kairus thought as he held on as tight as he could.

The air around the two of them boomed thunderously as it slammed into tiger's electrical field, the molecules in it being violently fused together by the bubble of lightning surrounding the big cat and his spider rider, leaving a trail of ionized air and ozone in their wake as they raced up the mountain side.

*Heeeeh... Heeeehhh.. Heeeeh...* "You.... still... there... little... guy..? We're.... almost.... there..." He called back to Kairus, after decelerating down to his normal pace once they got closer to the coliseum grounds. He was panting and gasping, needing to catch his breath and regain his stamina after running uphill at such a blinding speed while dodging hazards such as falling debris and stationary objects like boulders on the way up.

From here, he thought they'd try to sneak up to the coliseum... but then he realized the "thunder" he made would make that impossible...


He knew they needed to survey just what was going on before rushing in, but without the element of surprise it wouldn't be easy... I really should have thought that through... he thought to himself.

"You said you have telepathy... Could ask your partner exactly what's going on?" He said, letting the spider down from his back, while taking a moment or two to breathe and recover. They were still a little ways from the coliseum, but the building itself was in view, they probably wouldn't have much time before they were attacked as well, they were kind of in plain view since neither of them exactly blended in with rock.

"I'm....still....here.....man." Kairus said shakily as Plas slowed down to a normal running pace, and then down to a stop, catching his breath. He let the spider down from his back, where Kairus tumbled onto his back, all of his hair on end and somewhat frazzled. He slowly got up, shaking to right himself and fight off the dizzy feelings. He looked at Plas, who was still recovering from the run.

"You said you have telepathy... Could ask your partner exactly what's going on?" Plas asked. Kairus nodded and established the link again, focusing deeply.

"You'll have to cover me, this requires concentration, but I'll be as quick as possible." Kairus said to Plas, zoning in on Dusk's presence.

Hey Plas and I are almost there, what's going on? Kairus asked.

Coliseum was attacked by some guy who summoned a giant rhino. But he seems to be only one member of the attack force, I could barely make out two or so bizarre heart beats on the roof. Dusk replied, trying to give as much info as he could at once. Be careful, you should be nearing M1, who appeared to be chasing down someone.

Alright thanks man, we'll try to approach as carefully as we can. Kairus replied, thanking Dusk. He turned to Plas and briefed him on everything Dusk had just told him.

"Do you see M1 anywhere?" Kairus asked, looking in every direction for potential attackers.

Plas looked around intensely, trying to peer through the rain, which had gotten even HEAVIER. "No.. not yet.... He must be up by the coliseum somewhere." He sighed.

"So there's guys on the roof.. you said? I'm guessing they're going to try to sneaking into he building.. I wonder why they're even here though...?" He paused and then look at Kairus again, with a worried expression. "I hope nobody damages the gravity generators, or else all that will be left is a second crater caused by an atomic blast..."

The two of them eventually made their way to the coliseum grounds, treading lightly. M1 coming into their view, he was bum rushing some kind giant, not to mention disturbing looking, dog like beast...

"Um... I don't think even a dozen paralyzer bolts will effect that thing.. It's... huge.." The feline thought out loud...
