I got the game now and played a bit (to the end of world 4)
(no spoilers)
The game is definitely harder than triple deluxe, and many, if not all of the levels are longer. There are more puzzles and poison is not a blatant water kirby ripoff.
I can also confirm frame drops on my old 3DS, mostly when too much is going on and you are attacking with the robobot armor.

The official UK site is up:
https://www.nintendo.co.uk/games/oms/ki ... t_desktop/
It's just a english translated version from the japanese website.
The exact same thing.
So, it's nice for those who were wondering about what the japanese site says.

I'm doing a second playthrough (with an already complete savefile) trying to avoid the armor.
My favorite zone/world is the third one, and from the first world the tower level, I think it's one of the best levels of the game.
Though, I don't like the second world, I think it's repetitive, the part is not so fun, and the world's main music (in-level) is both annoying and catchy, that's not a good mix.
I'm going to redo the 4th world soon, but from the first playthrough I have bad memories of it (I remember it as a very boring and bad-looking world).

Overall I prefer the level design of Triple Deluxe a lot, it had a better flow, and more original ideas.
The circus level, the haunted house, the level with Waddle Dees in the background launching balls of rock at you with those strange wooden structures, Old Odissey as a whole (the second level especially), the level with the moving wall, the incursion into Sectonia's castle destroying the doors and the tank that is chasing you during the first level... etc... I loved that game, unfortunatelly Robobot is good as well, but it failed to leave all these good memories on me.

EDIT: I find it creepy (in a funny way) when you chose to not take the armor, and you continue finding the dead armor on your way, like if it's haunting you XD until you find a platform on the floor that needs to be removed with screws and you are forced to use it.

I never had any frame drops but I own a Japanese New 3DS. There was only one late level in Access Arcs I didn't like, the train one with odd music. But the Robobot Armor is so much fun and more intreresting than Hypernova Kirby. I admit though, some bosses are rather similiar to each other but the endgame actually got chuckles out of me (money; final weapon; :3) and was a nice contrast to the intense atmosphere built up in the fights against Sectonia. Also: Metaknight's face when called "ご主人さま". The puzzle music is enchanting (dudududududududu dududududun)
The True Arena is actually challenging as well, because some bosses just break the Stone or Archer abuse.
I hope they will do a game like the 3D Challenge Submode in the future.

I don't understand why it wasn't a world wide release since it seems like people have been able to play the japanese version in english?

It's because nintendo. The game is fully translated into Japanese, English, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, German, French since it was released in Japan.
Also the game won't work on an non-japanese 3DS unless you get the homebrew launcher

NintenU plays the Japanese version of Kirby: Planet Robobot, despite him being a native German. None of his videos are in German.

A Japanese 3DS's system language will always be Japanese and you can only select Japanese districts as your home. It's nothing like our consoles which offer a plenty of choices for countries and languages, except Japanese. I guess this is part of the reason one could only play in Japanese despite all the translations being done and integrated already.
On a side note, I am currently translating what Susie is saying on a more literal level, for Youtube videos of the ROM's official English translation showed me that there are some changes in dialogue...
The Haltmann Company's song is completely different in English!

I would like to see both the English translation of the original Japanese and the one used in the English-language version of Planet Robobot to spot the differences.

Favorite Kirby Game: Kirby & the Amazing Mirror
By the comments I've seen about this game, it seems like this has become named the best Kirby game in the Modern Trilogy (Return To Dream Land, Triple Deluxe and of course, Planet Robobot).

And looking at the game itself...I can somewhat already see why. Of course, I need to actually play it first (7 days!) to make any sort of final judgement.

But from what I know about it, this really seems like a another amazing addition to the line-up.

I would definitely place it somewhere between Kirby Super Star and Kirby 64 (My current most 1st and 3rd most favourite Kirby games) But I won't update the list until after I have played through all of it (Which might be this weekend)

Turns out that the Planet Robobot event at the Ontario Science Centre is free and is taken place outdoors: http://www.ontariosciencecentre.ca/Calendar/312/

I have decided to go to the Ontario Science Centre tomorrow. I will be taking a few photos as well.
