Kirby's Rainbow Resort

On X-Mas '03 My sister got a gamecube and SSBM and I got Kirby Air Ride...Probably because it was 'Cutesy'.
Anyway, My sister Loved my game, and I wanted to play, so I hopped on my Winged Star as Keeby and I Tied With my sister. >:)

Also, In Melee, I (ab)used Kirby so much :D

In '05,on my Birthday, I got Kirby and The Amazing Mirror,Mario64DS,and Polarium With A DS, and I played my heart out...With the other two. Kirby Was neglected until the next day and then I was absolutely HOOKED. I soon got Canvas Curse, and That became my favorite game, but who was this 'Dedede' character? Oh well.

The same year, I got A gameboy color, and Kirby's Dreamland 2, and Tilt 'n' Tumble. The former was a hit, and the latter was a dud. In '06 I obtained SqSq(which I finished, Restarted AND re-finished in all 3 files in 2 days) Nightmare in Dream landand The Original. In '08 I got the remaining 'Main' Games, KD3, K64, and SSU. Recently I got SS after losing (and now finding) My portable version.

I soon plan to get the rest of the spinoff games(Pinball,Star Stacker, Block Ball, Avalanche, and Dream course)

A friend of mine was a devout Kirby fan, so that prompted me to check the little guy out and join this community a few years later along with him.

I think the first Kirby game I sought out and played on my own was Amazing Mirror. I liked it quite a bit, but I don't really think that's really why I stuck with the series. For me it was all about the people I wanted to interact and a share something in common with. It still is, really. Kirby's far from my favorite game series.

Guess you could say how I got into the series is a bit different from most.

Kirby was actually the first game i ever played dood. One day, when i was about five or so, my big sister gave me her gameboy (the big, green, nintendium hard blocky one) because she didn't really care for it. She gave me the gameboy and three games, Wario Blast and Kirby's Dreamland 1 and 2. I decided to go with kirby first, seeing as how it had two games with it. It helped make me the game junkie i am today (that and pokemon dood).

Like many who came before me I thought I posted in this topic, but as it turns out I did not...

Kirby's Adventure was the first video game I have any memory of playing. I found it in a closet, along with my dad's NES and a few other games (like The Legend of Zelda, Mike Tyson's Punch-Out!!, and of course, Super Mario Bros./Duck Hunt). I was maybe five or six at the time. My favorite ability to play around with was Sword (because swords are cool), though I also loved to climb Butter Building using just Hi-Jump or Tornado. I remember having a lot of trouble beating Mr. Shine and Mr. Bright, and especially with Kracko. For Nightmare, I had to have my dad's help since I wasn't good enough to beat the first fight.

Kirby swiftly became my favorite video game character. I had almost every Kirby game for the GameBoy and SNES, except for Pinball and Block Ball (though I did rent the latter and enjoy it quite a bit). Whenever I had a friend over, I'd try to get them to play Kirby Super Star or Kirby's Dream Land 3 with me- I was always Kirby, of course. The first time I beat Marx in Kirby Super Star was a huge moment for me. When I had to write stories for assignments in elementary school, half the time I'd center them around Kirby, King Dedede, and Meta Knight. I'd doodle Kirby characters all the time, and would occasionally make little comics staring Kirby and his pals. The entire series has been a huge influence on me in a myriad of ways, and I can't imagine how my life would've turned out if I didn't find out about Kirby until Super Smash Bros.

Related fun fact: On the day SSB first came out, I played it with my brother and two friends. Everyone played as Pikachu, except me. I played as Kirby.

It was far too long time ago, I can't even remember because I was so young. We have had NES as long as I can remember. I played my first Kirby on it and loved it so much but then my NES broke and I couldn't play. But fortunately I can watch anime and I've bought 2 DS Kirbys.
