actually I need to thank my dad. when I got the first Smash Bros, I had no idea who Kirby was. I was big into playing the vidya with my dad at the time, and he randomly decided to play as Kirby and annoy me by constantly sucking me up. yeeeup.

needless to say, years passed, I subscribed to Nintendo Power, and Kirby 64 had a feature in one of the first issues I got.

day one purchase, and I've been a Kirby fan ever since.

Well... I was about... maybe four years old? Yeah four, and I rented Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards. I loved it! Then when it was my fifth birthday, my mom gave me that game. Then I saw other Kirby games and played those and liked them all. The end.

I got Kirby 64 and Canvus curse a long time ago. But I didn't become a big fan until Brawl. Before it came out, everyone had ideas of who they wanted to main. I decided to main Kirby and since then I ADORE HIM! :D

First I didn't know anything about Kirby. Then we got Super Smash Bros Brawl. I saw the cute little pink gumball (lol), but I still got no interest... Then I saw in the youtube a Kirby music video about Kirby anime, and I was surprised that there WAS a Kirby anime. Then I decided to watch it in order, I started from episode 1, it was interesting, so I continued to episode 100. (I was lucky that time, I could see ALL the episodes in order in youtube.) So I gained an interest on Kirby. I was exploring and I found these KRR sites and forums so that's how I got interested in Kirby.

Interesting, that's kinda like the same way my younger sister got into Kirby as well.

About Me: Um, now, ok. My name is Loupcho, feel free to call me that on the forums but it'd probably make more sense to just call me Blade here. I hate waiting because there is always waiting involved for games, be it release date or loading time. I enjoy making friends here, especially if it's for some online brawl.
I'll never forget when I discovered Rainbow resort. I luv you guys

The first time I saw kirby was in super smash bros on the nintendo 64, the N64 was actually also my first game console.
So when I got the game and started playing I loved kirby's power to suck opponents and fire them off the stages.

I have played kirby since I was little. I played Kirby 64 all day long. I never could beat it though. Now I love kirby games and all the old ones I can't get I get on the PC.

My dad took me to Blockbuster (back when Blockbuster was a big thing) when I was little...and I thought Kirby Super Star looked cute.

The first game I got to play was Kirby's Dreamland. I guess I was about 7 years old.
I did play that game quite many times, but never got through extra mode until I was like 9, I guess.
Poppy Bros. Sr was such a tough guy to beat those days... Still can remember those WHOOOOOOSH! sound effects.

Well, now I've got every single pink puff game (no avalanch still). So glad that I got to play all these games...

Awww this topic is really moving for me...it makes me remember the old good times =')

I have an uncle that has been a videogame fan for quite a long time, so I can recall that, when I was like 5 years old, I used to read his "Club Nintendo" magazines (kinda Nintendo Power for Mexico), and suddenly I saw a cute pink puff on the cover of one of them...it talked about Kirby's Dreamland 2 (for me it was/still is like the CUTEST thingie EVER) I fell in love almost instantly with Kirby, Kine, Rick and Coo =P

Some years later, I got my uncle's SNES system since he was getting a PlayStation, I remember that I went to a videogame market and I saw the box of Kirby Super Star. It immediately draw my attention, I could remember perfectly that pink character despite all those years...I bought it and until now, that was like the BEST thing I've done regarding videogames, since currently is really hard to get ANYTHING about Kirby (good old stuff, not the "remakes").

Interestingly enough, I was first exposed to Kirby through the manga. I didn't realize he was a video game character until I bought Nightmare in Dreamland along with my GBA.

Aw, KSSU is pretty much amazing. I can agree with you to some extent on NiDL, though...

About Me: I am a film student studying to be a director in the industry.
I am also a musician. I mostly play drums and sing. On the side, I also play a bit of piano, clarinet, bass, and guitar.
Oh gosh. Um... I believe my first Kirby game was Kirby's Adventure. How I got the game, I do not know. I was quite young.
But I just got into it. Later, when the Super Nintendo was going out and the Nintendo 64 was on the way, my mother bought a whole bunch of games for the Super Nintendo from Blockbuster, who was selling them used at a cheap price. One of them was Kirby's Dreamland 3. And so I started getting into the games more.

About Me: You shouldn't have done that.
It all started with Kirby's Avalanche. I used to rent games all the time and that was one of my faves.

I got my start with the Original Smash Bros.
Then I borrowed Kirby 64 from a friend, loved it. And began hunting for other games of this franchise. When they started putting Kirby classics on Virtual Console, I wasted no time in blowin' my money on Wii Points.

I remember getting into kirby late.

My first meeting with Kirby was at a friends house, we were playing SSB, and I chose Kirby. But I kept losing(Most of the games I played back then used A as jump, not the joystick.)Then a couple of years passed, and I saw Dreamland 2 among another friends pile of games. I asked him if I can play, and he said yes. I liked the gameplay, though I couldn't get past the stage after Sweet Stuff. (Was it Cracko?)
Then I got SSBM, and remet Kirby again-though I rarely used him, mostly Marth or Young Link. Then I finally got a Kirby game(Squeak Squad, by the way) and played, played and played-I was so weak back then, I constantly died on Daroach.) Then came SSBB, and started to know more about the puffball through the adventure mode.
After a while, I bought KSSU. I think I spent hours trying to get past Galacta on the True Arena. Then I started to buy other games, like Kirby 64 on the VC, or NiD from a local gameshop.
After clearing them, I bought more and more-Amazing Mirror, Dream Land 3, Air Ride...The only ones missing are Dreamland 2, and Canvas Curse.
...Am I the only one hoping for a remake of Dreamland 2?
