Kirby's Rainbow Resort

Nintendo Switch sales as of September 30 have been revealed. Which means a bunch of fun analytical stuff to obsess over.

Notably (for a Kirby fansite, at least), Forgotten Land has sold over five million units, which means it has outsold Kirby’s Dream Land and is now the best selling Kirby game.

Again, I have no interest in playing it myself. Maybe someday I’ll get a used copy, but that won’t be for a long time.

Honestly, I thought it was a pretty refreshing take on the modern Kirby formula; they use their new 3D space very well IMO. I say you should give it a shot sooner rather than later, if possible.

I don’t recognize you and I don’t agree with playing Forgotten Land ASAP as I very much prefer to go with my gut and have many games on a hypothetical wish list I actually think I’ll like and want to buy, but I’m happy either way because this place has been even more inactive than it was before since the Summer. What prompted you to come and post here today, might I ask?

what jumbo was saying you should get the game before it gets sold out otherwise you're stuck with buying the game as digital copy through eshop. buying it used may not be in a good condition in some way. Holidays can make it worst to buy the game.

Looking at the first post, there's a saying try the game at least once. you can't make judgements on the games that you haven't tried them at least it's once or more. Looking at gameplay videos isn't gonna help you judge the game by its book and covers. Playing the demo version helps you catch interest.

If the game goes on sale, then you should have a chance and opportunity to buy the game.

Also, why do you keep telling me I’m not allowed to hate the game because I haven’t played it? If I were to buy it I would be sending the message that more Kirby games should be like Forgotten Land, something that I very much do NOT want to do. I have not judged the game by its cover. I have judged it by the gameplay, music, and characters in it. I do not need to play something I have bad impressions of. (Already bought Pokémon Scarlet last month and I ultimately didn’t enjoy it or get anywhere close to finishing it. And that was a game I had OKAY first impressions of. So what do you think would happen if I were to play Forgotten Land?)

Anyways, I’m gonna go ahead and keep thinking about all the GBA and DS games I could buy instead.
