It would be great to have a dedicated Nintendo subforum. The Pokémon Pagoda could be a subforum of the Nintendo subforum as well.

A sub-forum of a sub-forum? Seems too confusing for me...

Keeby, it's totally possible for forums to have multiple sub-forums in one sub-forum. Through this way, things can be kept organized.

I'm in full support of this.

I don't even like the Pokemon Pagoda. Why does a Kirby forum have such a very specific franchise forum inside of it, anyway?

The answer is that the old head-honchos didn't care about Kirby and instead cared about Sonic/Star Fox/whatever else they were playing at the time. Pokemon just happened to be much more consistent, and generated enough topics that it started to drown out the rest. Well, it actually drowned out 'bout everything else in the forums in general.

"Nintendo" is still just "vidyagaims". Those already have a forum.

I have a feeling that a good portion of video-game-related subjects on a Kirby fan forum would be Nintendo anyway, so the introduction of a Nintendo-only space would make the general gaming forum anemic to the point of uselessness.

And of course you two are fans of that grouping; that is what they do over at Naito, and I am very critical of they way they chose to organize the space over there.

The only thing I could possibly see is making a franchise subforum for a similar and ignored title like Staafy or Mr. Gimmick, but I doubt those would generate enough topics to deserve anything outside of a single topic.

I cannot agree with a dedicated board for The Legendary Starfy either. I expect an almost absolute chance of neglection of a Starfy subforum here simply due to the obscurity and lack of recent official Starfy news and discussion.

Very little recent news about Starfy is arriving. Most of the news are just about the fandom. There only been one recent occurrence of official Starfy news (his appearance in Super Mario Maker). The only recent new discussion was a video on YouTube explaining why a 3DS Starfy game would be a good idea.

Also, another separate forum dedicated to The Legendary Starfy is already present.

If I were to have had think of this more critically, then there would be more factors to consider. If many people on these forums were fans of both Nintendo and non-Nintendo games (provided that they create threads about Nintendo and non-Nintendo games), then that could merit a justification for making a Nintendo subforum.

For example, we can take a look at the Video Game Memorabilia Museum Forums. If there are lots of new Mario and Legend of Zelda merchandise to be tracked down, then separate boards should be made.

If a new generation of KRR staff is going to run the site, these people must care much moe about Kirby.

See, this is why I want only good ol' Bimble and Ometon to run the site. They are experts on KRR. They know what is right for the site. This is supposed to be a site about Kirby. They are working hard to put this back on it's feet.

Way to read, gold. That is exactly what I said about a Staafy forum.
I was using that as an example of somethign that would be more fitting and still undeserved.

Someone (who did turn out to be a big dud, but still) once said "KRR is a Kirby site." It is strange that such a thing would even need to be said, but, well, the entire history of this place.

I sure hope it isn't only Gobbo and I. I certainly don't mind the heavy lifting behind the curtain, but it never has been the most glamorous/attention grabbing thing.

"What's right" certainly is subjective, but aping other sites shouldn't instantly be considered validation. KRR has made a lot of its reputation on what Kirby has made his reputation on: charm and personality.
