So is anyone with the ability to work on the main site still willing/able to work on updating and reviving Kirby's Rainbow Resort?
I came onto this website on a whim yesterday for the first time in ages, and I was... depressed to see the state of the place. The first thing I noted was that the last real news updates were posted nearly
3 years ago. The "Recent News" column is even more sparse, with its latest entry dated
2011 and its earliest entry dated
2008. Considering that the games are basically the core of the Kirby franchise, the lack of any pages for 3DS or Wii U games featuring Kirby confirmed my suspicions that KRR is basically a generation behind on updates.
I then proceeded to check out the forums, only to learn that registration had been closed
2 years ago.

I figured I could at least chat with any regulars that might still be around... but after spending half an hour digging up my login details, I noticed that the only other active registered users were
search engine bots. Even if I started some new game discussions or something, I doubt much of anyone would be around to add to them.
I dunno, I guess I'm just sad that Kirby's Rainbow Resort, the most extensive website I know of dedicated to to my favorite video game franchise, has been steadily declining for the past several years.

I enjoyed browsing the site in years past, but I suppose I understand why the forums are so inactive now. I'm well aware that KRR's core userbase was of a certain age group, and after getting involved with real life matters, they've lost interest in the site. Furthermore, no websites are immune to an ever-changing Internet, and with the immense popularity of social networking sites and the like, relatively few care about getting involved in message boards nowadays.
On the other hand, I don't see why the main part of the site, in particular the games section, is so outdated. I only know the basics of designing web pages, but if I could, I'd love to help update/add information for both new and classic Kirby games, as well as add what I can to the multimedia section. And I'm sure there are others that would like to help out as well. Yet, from what I've read in this topic and another recent post, it seems as though the site's founding staff are actually the biggest obstacles blocking progress.

Is there anything we can do to bring KRR up to date, or is the only option at this point to start an entirely new fansite from scratch?
