In the spirit of giving (bordom/end of the semester/need for recognition), I thought, "Hey, why not do a group pic for KRR?" After all, I did just do one for my web alma mater, but there was less than thirty people to really pimp out. Nah, how about a challenge?

You see, rather than just doing something as simple as drawing the same ol' shape with different hair or something eighty times, I thought I'd make it interesting. This isn't going to be just a group pic but "The Ultimate Showdown: Battle for Rainbow Resort"! The dream fountain will be getting stormed by a wave of invaders while the champions of RR fend them off to protect the Star Rod. Of course, these "bad guys" will still be the forum farers. It'll be the heroes vs. the villains, the army of Kindar against who ever I pick to be on Bogg's side. Yeah, that's right. I'm the evil leader. Why? 'Cuz I thought of the idea, and I'm such a heel :^D

Of course, since this picture is set in Dreamland and I want to have everyone's personas, I've had to take additional measures. As you may have already noted in the preliminary character designs, there's no people! I'm warping and skewing everyone best I can to fit the Dreamland motif so that they actually look like a character that would be found in the games (games being stressed :P).

But, in addtion to that stipulation, I don't want the lackluster, "I look like Kirby with a hat/hair/recolored. I'm original." No. Depending on how many li'l blobs I manage to toss in here, drawing Kirby's body that many times would get irritating.

You may be able to tell, but folks like Apple Kid and PSC have a more Poppy Bros. like body. Others are more elongated. Sometimes, flippers are modified to be ears. Then, in the case of Meta Star Man Ness, I just went with gumdrops!

I tried my best to use this boards "Forum Persona" topic, but it didn't yield much results. Apparently, it needs to be renamed the "Let's talk about how Shadow Scar is cool/should look/looks like Oddish" topic. Also, a lot of folks there only had anthromorphic forms or unsalvagable "I'm this exact Kirby character with no changes. It's my personal persona" plague. I mean, some classics like Glod and Aqua will be able to slide, but everyone can't be just that.

I mean, sometimes. like with Kyusil, I could work with it. "Used to be a blue puffball? Currently wears a head band with pointy ears? Okay then, BAM! Done." Other times, it went about like Oreo Kids. Yeah... I don't know what that is, either, and it's largely a joke. If it were colored, you'd be able to see how the stripes across the belly are layered brown-white-brown.

Again, this isn't the picture. This is just the character design for the picture. Took me a few months start to finish to complete the last group picture I worked on, but I only spent about one week working on it. The rest was just getting people to sign up.

This has been fun so far. So fun, that I may not stop with just a group picture. Yeah, I'm talkin' Super Secret Project Nega-Point-O!

I went through who was on the persona list, Bakes, er, at least, person-I-suspect-of-being-Bake-a-bake. Jeez, maybe, if names were static for more than for a few months, the less attentive would be able to sort out who's who and who's long since dead :P
The same goes for you, too, Dr. Random, whoever you are.

And, Ceceil, I've had about all I could take of cat-boys for the rest of my life recently*, so that'll be one of the last I get around to :P

Anyways, your art is really nice. You should fuse a pencil into your hand so you can always have one on the go... it'd be mechanical so... yeah I'll stop with whatever I was saying.

Well, I assumed it was given that as many people as saying to/that I can remember exist will be in it.

Well, Disaster (and BC and possibly others), I am working on makin' other ways of people while still capturing their spirit. Its just, well, it takes some thought and much trial and error. Normally, jumpin' into fake research can help scare up some ideas. Again, that's time, and knowing where to look. So, I guess what I'm saying is, look! A distraction!

And, no, Oreo, you aren't the joke, just the "WTFMate is that?" is the joke. I mean, really, what is that? Looks like an egg wearing a fancy belt. Let that be a lesson to ya, kiddies, don't drink and draw.

You should like, do a tutorial of how it is you draw how you draw. It's so unique-- although then I suppose you might not want to do a tutorial, but then you wouldn't be as original, as everyone would copy your style because it's so freaking cool.

This is pretty neat... certainly not like the other group pictures. Your style is really cool; it kind of reminds me of the weekly Homestar Runner sketches.
