Kirby's Rainbow Resort

Yeah, I can't use Kirby as my main anymore. Why? Because he's easy to master. Meaning my brother just whips out Kirby who he never uses and kicks my ass with him. I need to find a character thats hard to master to main so that my brother can't use him to beat me with. I'm not using Meta Knight or King Dedede because if I'm not using Kirby, it'll make me feel like crap if I use another Kirby character. I'm also not using Marth or Zelda because those are the characters my brother uses. I use ROB, but yeah...he was pretty easy for me to master so my brother will probably end up using ROB against my ROB and pwn me. I have until only tommorow to find a new main. If I can't find a new main by then, I am quitting smash forever. Also don't give me any crap like "Smash is for fun." no its not, its to prove your better then who you're fighting, its all just to prove your better.

Game, lat. ludus - An activity to increase the own happiness, meaning to have fun. That includes EVERY game. I think you're too much fanatic in winning, aren't you? and since it's your brother, I see no problem in loosing once in a life. Also, we don't know which characters are good for you. there are people who even could play with Bowser, others prefer Cpt. Falcon... There's actually no Character who will be learned faster or slower.

... (oh, and it would be good if you never would play smash again just because you lost so you couldn't annoy us with your tourney 'tarding. But do what you want to do, no one's forbidding you to play.)

Not just one game, like 5 and I won 1. And meh, I'll try Bowser anf Falcon, I mained Ganondorf in Melee, but my brother pwned my Ganondorf with his.

I cannot tell you how pathetic you sound. Yes, winning is fun, and yes, losing all the time can suck the fun out of a game, but you don't seem to realize that constantly winning can be just as bad as constantly losing. Part of the fun of games like this is that you don't know the outcome when you challenge a friend to a battle. If you always win, it might be fun for the first ten, twenty, maybe even fifty matches, but if you keep going without losing even once then in my opinion the game becomes as boring as when you can't win at all. And you seriously should just give up video games if you can't have any fun if you can't always win because there is ALWAYS going to be someone, somewhere, who can kick your @#$ every single time you play.

*sigh* I guess, though, that if you're looking for characters that take a little effort to master, I would recommend Snake and Sonic. Snake has a completely unique style of play that can throw everyone else for a loop or get you creamed if you haven't practiced. Sonic has some really gnarly combos you can pull of with his spin dash, but it's really hard to get the timing right, I still don't have it down. Either of those characters would present a very difficult challenge to use properly without practice.

Of course, if you wanted a real challenge, why don't you just foerget the whole "main" thing and dedicate yourself to being a master of all the fighters? If anyone were to become so good that they could pick a random character every match and still manage to win 9 or 8 times out of 10, that would be the best player in the world, not some Marth or Falco abuser.

then give up and except being defeated by somebody who's better then you. Or ever got your head through a wall? you need training, maybe more then 1 day. Just be fair on yourself.

Well, I'd imagine it'd be easy to beat anyone using Kirby if they keep spamming the same two moves over and over. I swear all you ever use is his hammer and his forward smash. Maybe try mixing it up a bit? I know by the time you fought Ramphy and I the other day you had become way too predictable. I think I ko'd you all three times with a Falcon Punch in one instance. Just try switching your play style with Kirby. Maybe then you'll beat your brother.

also, saying that Kirby's just easy to pick up is a really lame excuse. I've got a friend who's mained Kirby since the original SSB, and he owns everyone who uses any character that's easy to pick up, including other Kirbies. Come up with a better excuse or STOP PLAYING THE GAME.

Relying only on strong attacks isn't the correct way to go. Nor is attack patterns. The other day when I fought you and you were using Link, you must've used Gale Boomerang into Hero's Bow at least three or four different times (granted, I'm sure they all hit me, since I can't sidestep/airdodge for beans). Just because a move is effective doesn't mean you should shun all the other moves you have available to you. Using the same moves over and over again quickly becomes stale and uncool, and (even if I still get hit by more than half of them) become way too predictable.

Losing a few times with your main either means that you need to train with them some more, or use a playstyle that varies in moves moar often.

Yeah don't keep changing mains. That's what I did and I had like 7 characters I called mains. I narrowed it down to one main which is Sonic. I've been called cheap using Sonic, because I run and spin dash a lot...but to me that just means my plans work.
Try to keep on hand 3 strategies for your main. Just in case one doesn't work.

I suck ass at fights if they're not one on one. Anyway, I'll tell you what moves I use on ONE ON ONE battles. I use my Hammer (usually only in the air though) I use my back aerial, foward aerial, up aerial, my spike neutral aerial (rarely), Final Cutter (not just for recovery), stone and my smash attacks. But Fighter Kirby, later today, I wanna fight you one on one. I will admit, I use my back aerial so damn much, wanna see how I fight 1 vs 1? Here's a link.
Also, there's no such thing as "getting better". Everyone has their own battle style and each battle style has its limits. Mine has reached its limits.

Erm, if you could even list all your used attacks, you should work on using more (and a damn much used move can be easily tricked out, since your enemy knows what will come next. and create macro combos, big combos made out of several smaller combos.

If you can't beat 3 people at once that doesn't mean that playing against three people is for losers. It means you suck.

(P.S.: If you really only use that few attacks, use more! It might explain why you get your ass handed to you by your brother!)

1 vs 1 proves pure skill against 2 individual players, 1 vs 1 is what proves skill.

Free for all tests how you can adapt to having 3 other players' play styles come into play and test you on how you can adapt to it. Free for all proves as much skill as 1 on 1.

In fact, what proves skill in all Smash Bros games is the ability to adapt and use anything to your advantage to win. Being able to win the typical "Final Destination, 4 lives, no items" and win a frantic item filled fight on New Pork City with 99 lives because you were able to adapt shows you have skill.
