We all live in a world that is torn up by war, poverty, and death, all while the climate changes for the worse and the stock of natural resources deplete. This is because of human greed, pointless close-mindedness like racism and bigotry, and simple differences in political views. Everyone in the world simply does not agree on the same things, and this has kept us all away from our much wanted understanding of each other, and ultimately, a true peaceful world.

But things are changing. For once in all of human history, all the world is united in agreement on one thing:

SEPTEMBER 19th IS INTERNATIONAL TALK LIKE A PIRATE DAY!

That be right me mateys! KRR be welcomin' thee pardoy holiday with a full embrace o' love and pirate booty. Yaar! All the crew be encouraged to partakin' this 24 hour event, going from 12:00:00 AM/00:00:00, September 19th, to 11:59:99 PM/23:59:59 the day o' same!* Dun' know much about ye pirate day? Then you'd best be readin up or I'll push you off ye pank! Yarr!

And you rookie poop deck swabbies? Dun be knowing about "Yarr"in' and "me matey"in'? That be fine! You can watch a video on it to learn, Yarr!

*No timezone listed really required. Just begin whenever you hit September 19th where you live.

Talking like a pirate will be totally welcomed all around here at the forums and in #krr. Let this be a fun occasion of laughs, togetherness, and bad pirate jokes.

To keep it from getting too out of hand, please abide by the only rule that all pirate slang use will stop promptly at 11:59:99 PM Pacific Time Zone (2:59 AM Eastern, 1:59 AM Central, 3:59 AM Atlantic), as by that time, Talk Like a Pirate Day will have passed, and this topic will soon enough be deleted.
